Is this type of listing allowed?  Seller seems to be doing a WHOLE LOT of it.

That's not how sellers are supposed to list their items, though to be fair he doesn't seem to be soliciting off-eBay transactions. His low feedback rating demonstrates that he doesn't quite understand how eBay selling works: he has a lot of failed and canceled transactions.

No. Not allowed. Violates search manipulation (choice listing) policy. Probably violates fee avoidance policy, too, since they're avoiding putting up parts listings in advance and carrying them month-to-month until they sell, instead only having to carry a single listing for the car and saying, tell me what you want, then I'll list it. May or may not be avoiding the policy on listing limits, no way to know without seeing their limits. More likely just a lazy seller than someone trying to get around listing limits.

Has 1,200 listings "Parting Out" vehicle.  And the descriptions even say DO NOT BUY this.
How can a seller get away with that?  Does eBay not really care about violations like this?

This method looks to be much less work than removing the part, inspecting the part, listing each part, figuring shipping and storing all of the parts that may or may not sell but looking at their feedback it does not really look like it is working out all that well for them

I'm considerably better at all that.  If eBay is not going to enforce their policies on this kind of thing, I may have to join the dark side.
Sure looks easy!

Looks easy, but some buyers sure don't seem to be able to understand the "don't buy this" part. What a sea of red (and black) .........................  even beyond the past year displayed ðŸ˜Š

Perhaps $1000, or $10,000 price would slow that roll.

Yep, and every report I've submitted has been answered "AI did not find this listing in violation"

From the same seller?

I suspect the seller is drop shipping auto parts from other junk yards.

I believe you can appeal those results?

FYI devon@ebay - another situation where AI has failed to recognize clear policy violations. Can you escalate to the team managing the AI?

LOL!  This is eBay!  "Appeal this decision" link leads me straight to "This Page is Missing, We've Looked Everywhere"
Corporate Customer Service Tree at it's finest.

Because all that AI sees is the title, category and price. All 3 are ok.

It's the 'verbiage' as well as the 'way' the buyer is listing their junk cars.

I think they could list this way using Classified (if that's even still a thing)?

I reported 2 listings and received the same message.

Their AI isn't very intelligent.

Have a great day.
