I am a new seller. I want to sell in 2-3 various categories. Like" Home and garden" " Health and beauty" "Art and craft". Can this be done? Are there any account restrictions that will be done if I sell in various categories? Please help.

It says to stick with one category for at least two months and increase your sellings. After that, you can try for other categories as they progress.

You have to established in good selling history in one category first. After 1-2 months you can try to sell on more categories. Thanks

You can sell anything you want as long as it is legal and done fairly. Depends on the type of store. I do vintage and antique, so I am into jewelry, dishes, glass, figurines, art - all sorts of things. Collectibles. Now I have added some boutique items.
If you want to specialize, maybe stick to that and get it going, but if you have a variety, just be sure you are being fair, honest and compliant with the rules. You can jump in with jeans, and watches and shoes. Or dishes and jeans, and plants. When a buyer is looking, they will look for jeans for example. your watches and shoes will not pop up. Use accurate descriptors. Vintage watches is not the same as NWT watches. Don't list watches shoes jeans in every title so they come to your store. You will just make a lot of people irritated. Title and categorize NWT Jeans Womens sz 12 Levi. For example. you will get people that want new jeans for women in size 12 or that want Levi jeans for women. You want to attract buyers and not window shoppers. Window shoppers are great unless they are never going to buy women's jeans and want mens jeans. Make sense? The category happens after you make the title. Just stick to the category and let the rest go to their respective categories. When I want shoes, I don't want to see your jeans. If I really like the shoes, I can choose to click on your name, and go to your store. I might just have to have that watch, or I might save you so I can visit again later.

Best not to answer at all if you are only going to give incorrect information.

No problem - sell what you want as long as it's legal, within site rules and you use good business practices. I sold everything under the sun from the moment I started here, from bike parts to Victorian vintage (though mostly hats).

This one is all over the boards with one bad reply after another. It's ridiculous and should be addressed.

They need to be removed, they are replying to any post, and I have yet to see a corect answer unless it was a C&P from a regular member.

I'm sorry about that. That's the thing I know. Can new sellers list items in all categories?
😕

It's important to differentiate between category limits and selling limits.
Category limits refer to the number of listed and sold items in certain categories. The link above explains who has limits and which categories are limited.

You are a new seller on ebay.
You select one category and sell the products related to that category for 2-3 months.
Then you select another category.

As long as what you are selling belongs in those categories, yes, you can do it.
