you buy the item, you set the price to sell the item.......... Profit is made by buying it low enough to price it high enough to make a profit after all you expenses..........

Most people put the cost of supplies you mentioned in their shipping costs. So if your label is $4, charge $6 in shipping. The $2 covers fees and materials.

You need to factor all the fee's into your item pricing. eBay fee, Paypal fee, shipping, material, gas, electric, storage, ink, taxes etc..
It's all apart of doing business.

Re-evaluated your business model. If you're in business and not making money, you're doing something wrong. Spend the time to figure out what that is (not good product, too much competition, expenses too high, not enough demand... you get the idea).
Cheers, C.

Do that math beforehand, not afterward. If the profit is not high enough, then don't waste the $2 in the first place.
You control the cost and the price, and the fees are a simple math calculation - so the lack of profit should not be a surprise.
Here is how an $7.99 sale breaks down for me:
+$10.98 (item $7.99 + shipping charge $2.99
-$0.62 (paypal fee)
-$1.10 (ebay fee)
-$2.66 (shipping cost)
-$0.30 (packing and printing)
-$0.31 (cost of item)
----------------
= $5.99 profit on a $7.99 item

Take this as a valuable lesson learned. We all make mistakes but when they cost us money, we seldom make the same error twice.
Plan for all fees and costs before you put a price on that listing. This includes, as you now know, the cost of packing materials (most of which you should learn to source at low- or no-cost) and ink for the printer (which will never be cheap).
Best thing to do is list again. Find some stuff you have at home that you don't mind selling off. Make clear profit on those items and use that to fund your business needs until you are ready to buy-to-sell again. It takes awhile to gain ground as a seller, and sometimes that means walking in gravel.....it's the quicksand you want to avoid.
Better luck with your next sale!

Selling fees TOO high?
If you aren't getting a cut, adjust your pricing.

If I pay $2 for an item, I'm not selling it for less than $20.

them shipping label is $4
You don't pay for shipping.
Your Buyer pays for shipping.
And Free Shipping is marketing talk for 'the costs of shipping are included in the asking price".
Which is cheaper ?
A $7.99 item with $5 shipping?
Or a $12.99 item with Free Shipping?

It’s not that the fees are too high. It’s that your asking price is too low in the scenario you’ve presented.
“Where is my cut?” Only you know. You’re cut is what you make it.

Sound like you need to find some different items to sell. These aren't working out for you.

BTW, you may see an increase in sales if you spent a little more time on your listing titles. They are way too brief and you are giving up very important real estate by leaving the majority of your title space blank.
For example you have one called; hot wheels mrll. I would suggest something more on the lines of;
HOT WHEELS Diecast Sports Series 2018 Yellow & Green Soccer MR11 #52
Or whatever is appropriate for your listing. But more descriptive words. Words people may use when searching for your item. If buyer's can't fine you, it is kind of hard to sell stuff.
Good luck.

Sellers do not have to "drive" the item to the post office. Sellers are allowed to deposit items inside the mailbox at the end of one's driveway and raise the red flag, short walk there but the marketplace is very competitive.
