12.35% + .30 each is OUTRAGEOUS!
I sold 75,000.00 in January and Feb alone. But guess what I have done since then? 2,000..00 the rest of the year. I have pulled all but a few listings. eBay you are ruining the hobby and forcing sellers to facebook 0% marketplace, craigslist 0%, and myslabs.com 1%
This is from a 10 year powerseller with 100% feedback.
I will be closing down my eBay store after 11 years, 10 of which are powerseller.

What were your fees in Jan/Feb (including PayPal fees)?
Did you raise your prices after Jan/Feb? If you did not, then I'm not sure I see the link between your selling fees and buyer demand.

That's strange, as a powerseller you ought to know eaby considers selling here a business and not a hobby. Also, sales of $75k in 2 months doesn't exactly fall under "selling as a hobby" category either.
The fact you labeled your selling here as a hobby may indicate you have not considered the payment of income tax as particularly important. You may wish to peruse the IRS pages on how to distinguish between a business and a hobby:

Sounds like you've made a decision that you're comfortable with.
Best of luck to you.

When did I say I considered hobby? I complained about fees. eBay fanboy boot lickers.

When did I say demand eBay bootlicker?

Exactly. I am venting my frustration with rising fees, and the ebay bootlickers come out. Charge him more!

With all the listings that don't follow policy, might be a good idea.

Another ebay bootlicker!

A 10-year power seller who apparently didn't know he was paying 12.9% plus 30 cents for most of those 10 years.
Bye.

You said something like eBay was ruining a hobby, so we assumed that yours was the hobby being ruined.
There is no reason or need for name calling here either.

The solution is to be a jerk and lick boots. He likes belittling people and paying high fees. Avoid this guy.

When it was 10% you were also paying 2.9% additionally to Paypal.
12.55% is lower than 12.9% so you are still paying a tiny bit less than you used to.
