Because I haven't used my eBay account for some time, I need to reverify my checking account with eBay's micro deposit verification system. Should I hold off on listing any items for sale until I've been verified?
Out of curiosity, what happens if I sell an item, but my checking account is still in the verification process? Does that create any issues for the buyer?
Thanks!

I would not list anything until you know that you can get paid

It does not for the buyer but you "may" not be able to get paid,
All sales $ will be held until you are verified OR in 6 months it is sent to your states unclaimed funds department. Then you can try to get it from the state...
I would get verified before selling

What ebay is asking you to do is set your checking account up to receive payments. That's how you get paid. It's called Managed Payments.
I would set that up and list a couple inexpensive items for sale. Make sure everything is working properly with your payments before listing anything expensive.
Also good to start out small and learn how everything works again as some things have changed over the last few years.
