Selling a motorcycle

I want to list a motorcycle but the bank holds the loan and the title. Can I do that? It has a “clean title,“ but I just don’t understand how to complete the listing because there’s no option to pay the bank off So the new buyer could get the title.

If no one here can help you, you might try posting this to the eBay Motors forum:

Have the bank the pickup location. After they inspect the bike you both go into the bank and the buyer pays off the loan and gives you the rest of the $. Or they give you all the money and the bank releases the title after it's paid.

@esha_leli

There would be no option for a payoff, that's a transaction between you and your bank. You sell this motorcycle locally, you payoff your bank and they will mail you the title (2-4 weeks) from the state, then you sign it over to new buyer.

     You need to explain this to a buyer that there is a lien on the bike. If your bank is local, you both can meet there and have the transfer done but either way the title will be sent thru the mail when original payoff has been met. Good luck to you.

Why would you list it on ebay?  Try selling it locally first.   Keep it simple.  You don't need the headaches.

How can it be a clean title if there is a lien on the title at the bank?
