Selling Limits Should be called Listing Limits? Do Selling limits also Exist?

Selling Should be called listing Limits, Does eBay also restrict the number of items one can sell daily?

I noticed that regardless of what I have listed and what is popular it rare that I will  sell more than 2 or 3 items a day unless it is multiple of the same item by the same buyer.

 I suspect eBay limits my impressions or something to that effect based on some metric of what they believe I can handle in a given time period.

Any one confirm this is the case? Any thoughts on how I get this number lifted?
