Selling Limit

Can someone please explain to me why after being an eBay member for 20 years with no negative feedback (for buying or selling) that I now have a selling limit of 1 item for $10 per month?  I apologize for the tone, but I just spent a half an hour preparing to list an item only to find out that I can't sell anything for all intents and purposes.  And I've spent at least that long trying to find a way to contact eBay for support which appears to be mostly non-existent.

You can find a method to reach eBay in the ' Contact Us' page on the site- towards the bottom is typically an option to have them call you related to a category. When you get an agent on the phone from the 'selling' department you can request your limits raised. They will ask the reason (selling as a hobby or what?) and likely substantially raise it. Talk to them on the phone via the Contact Us' page and it should be a quick process

I have been on eBay since 1998 buying and selling: 100% positive feedback. I spend thousands yearly on eBay, however, I cannot be trusted to sell 1 item since it's been a while, however, very active purchasing weekly, and it can't be over $10.00. eBays algorithms are Ludacris. Horrible business practices are in place and common sense is nonexistent. I will be purchasing from this point forward from Amazon, Bonanza, Walmart, Etsy, Poshmark, and Facebook MP first from now on. I can no longer trust eBay if they cannot trust a solid eBay business person.  Here is my message from eBay: Unfortunately, you're not currently eligible for a selling limit increase. $10.00 1 item, unbelievable!
