Selling 1 item from a pair

I currently got an active listing for a pair of arm chairs. There is a request from a potential buyer offering to buy 1 of the 2 chairs. How do I do this , as the price for 1 chair will obviously be less than the price listed.

Thanks

David

The chairs are not a  matching pair. It's easy to see why a potential buyer might be interested in one but not the other.

End the current listing, and list the chairs separately.  Be sure that each of the new listings does not contain any images of the other chair, though you could mention in your Description that you have another chair listed (be sure to revise that if one of them sells).

You are in the UK.........probably best to ask there, as I imagine it would be a local pickup........

here in the states, I'd just end the active listing/put up a new listing for one item........but don't know the rules there.......

As above, relisting the chairs individually would simplify the process of selling one. Hopefully it will be clear which is which, so that the buyer doesn't complain later that he meant to buy the other one.

That said, for something like chairs, I think you're more likely to get a sale of a matched set, rather than one odd chair by itself. Selling one now might mean you'll be stuck with the other for some time.
