Sellers. Please state if a plush toy has been washed. Not only are scents imparted, but the internal structure of the plush toy is affected, resulting in, for example, a "broken neck."
I had asked those questions, but still received a "broken neck," laundry product scented plush toy. Foolishly, I trusted that the Seller would not have completed the sale if that had been the case.
It would be a kindness to note washing and alert Buyers.

Seems like a reasonable request.

Washing could have happened prior to item being acquired by a seller........so they may have had no knowledge ................ and I don't know what a broken neck would look like.......but would it show up in a picture?

The next post after yours will be another buyer complaining that the seller did NOT wash the plush toy and it stinks.

So many of those "stuffies" (the retail label) are NOT washable. We have several in our possession who have a tag that says "surface cleaning only".

I wouldn't think of putting a used toy in the washer with my lingerie and other delicates. As ridiculous as putting a dirty baseball hat on one of those plastic frames in the dishwasher. I 'wash' plush with antibacterial hand wipes and allow to air dry.
Broken necks can sometimes be repaired by rearranging the stuffing to concentrate it in the neck region - pushing some from the head down and prodding some from the chest up.

Also, not to ship larger plush toys with necks in plastic bags to prevent damage to neck and torso.

This sounds like a very specific complaint, honestly. My sister and I had many, many plush toys as children and my mother would always toss them in the wash when they got dirty. They all came out just fine.

I expect different kind of plushies will react different in the wash…
I’ve successfully run the kiddos’ Squishmallows in the washer (gentle cycle) and they kept their shape but others have definitely come out the other side… clean but wonky.

They react differently even before the wash! I just did my laundry and I asked my stuffed lion if he wanted to go. He said the spin cycle makes him dizzy and declined my offer, I reminded him that he reeks of cigarettes and pot but he told me "the chicks like that".
I muttered to myself......that's not my experience, wonder what kind of chicks you hang out with.
