Re: Sellers check your PHOTOS on newly auto relist items...

Most sellers won't know they are affected unless they actually look at their newly re-listed items, since the thumbnail photo still shows.

SELLERS: Check your newly re-listed items.

I have 6 more that will re-list in the next few hours, and I'll be manually ending them rather than having them add to the pile of extra work this issue is creating.

Re: Sellers check your PHOTOS on newly auto relist items...

Same problem here. I've lost photos on about 30 listings so far. If I go back and "revise" them, only the gallery image shows up, all the rest are gone.  Most of my photos I delete from my camera after the listings are uploaded. They better have a way to recover them, or I'm going to be **bleep**. After paying about $1100 in seller fees just last month, I would expect better performance from this **bleep** glitch-ridden site.

Approx. 10:30am in San Jose. Maybe they have Friday morning meetings?

Re: Sellers check your PHOTOS on newly auto relist items...

I spent a couple of hours this morning uploading photos.

One listing retained the lead image. All of the other listings say "The seller has not uploaded any pictures. Check the item description for details." and shows the gray polaroids.

Glad I don't use Good until cancelled.

I would rather sit and relist them all myself

instead of depending on ebay to do it right.

Re: Sellers check your PHOTOS on newly auto relist items...

I'm reluctant to do anything until I know if ebay can recover our photos. I'll either have to re-take them all of try to get them from the old computer. In the meantime... I sure know I won't be getting any sales on these items.

Why does it seem like ebay tries to hurt sellers' business at every turn?

There is another thread stating issues with loading photos into new listings.

Re: Sellers check your PHOTOS on newly auto relist items...

Just got off the phone with CS. They didn't have any idea what's going on, or why the photos are being deleted. He said they will "look into it" and then call me back within 24 to 48 hours. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm getting about sick and tired of paying ridiculously high seller fees, only to have to turn around and deal with these glitches and errors.

I couldn't agree more. If this falls back on sellers to correct, it's going to be a nightmare for many.

One thing that surprises me is the low response to this thread. Either this is only affecting a few sellers, or the masses just don't know they have this problem yet.

My first re-listed item with this problem was at approx. 6pm et yesterday, so this has been going on for about 20 hours, and it is still happening. I can only imagine how many listings are affected sitewide.

Re: Sellers check your PHOTOS on newly auto relist items...

One temporary solution that I've found is to bulk end all the listings that are coming up for auto-renew and then bulk re-list them. The photos all remained in tact. So I went ahead and did that with mine for all listings set to auto-renew within the next 24 hours, at least for now, and I will do the same tomorrow if the issue doesn't seem to be resolved.

Personally, I had 38 listings affected by this glitch. Probably about half of them only had one photo anyway, so a "revise" restored that. The other 15 or so +/- had multiple photos initially that I may or may not have to re-take and re-upload pending the outcome of their "investigation" into the problem.

I will certainly be demanding some kind of fee credit because this probably has now consumed about 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. Our time should be just as valueable as theirs.

Also, I've found that if the listings have been posted long enough, you can run the item number into google search and pull up a cached version of the page and get the additonal photos back that way. I'm in the process of doing that now. What a pain in the a$$.

Thank you for that tip. Reminded me that many of my photos come up in google images.
