I have three prospects awaiting a reply from me, but, after in excess of 60 mins., I am at a loss as to where on the page I would be able to respond. Please assist.

Desktop: Type at the bottom to the right of the picture icon, not in the large white space.

@kabilab : To get started, you click in the little gray field that's somewhat misleadingly named "Send message," and that should give you a cursor for typing your text. To send the message, you then click the paper-airplane icon to the right of the message field. If you want to attach images before sending, click the little landscape icon to the left of the message field.

I noticed people like the new messaging system a lot better after they learn how to use it. 😉

inhawaii, some sellers probably prefer the new, but many decades ago, I adopted the adage that if it isn't broken, don't attempt to fix it. The former version, for me, was much more intuitive.
I purchased my first computer in Feb. of 1997. I quickly formed the opinion that some programmers either lacked the ability or desire to embrace the acronym KISS. Nothing has occurred since to change my mind.

My first computer ran a DOS based program called First Choice. Windows and Apple didn't even exist yet. I don't believe everything that we do today could be accomplished if DOS was never improved upon.

My brain works how it works and often not well with how ebay thinks it should work. I completely understand the confusion on this new message version. That big white area right in front of me looks like a dandy spot to type a message to respond to a question that's right above it and then hit the big "send message" button. Usually those actions described in boxes do something and aren't where I'm supposed to do something.
