It seems to be leaking out, I received emails at 12:30pm, one was the clothing condition one we have seen, another some puffery about "know your buyer" and then the third with vague fee increase info.
The discussion board is up, not sure how I found it. Most of the links go to error 404!
All day I've been wondering why no discussion here?
Odd part, the messages came to this posting id, it's not a selling account, not showing in My Messages?
Whoops forgot the link

I didn't get any messages or emails about a Seller Update on any of my accounts.
The hidden forum you found has this info about fees:
we’ll be adjusting final value fees in most categories starting February 14, 2025, with increases ranging up to a maximum of 0.35%.
The User Agreement says they have to give us 14 days advance notice of fee changes (anybody else remember when it used to be 30 days?) so eBay has to either send out those update emails/messages and announce the change within the next 2 days, or they have to push out that Feb 14th date.
The know your buyers stuff is old news. Discussion about it here:

And the clothing stuff was announced already, as you mentioned.

We Canadian store subscribers just lost the branded supplies perk.
Most of the cost was probably shipping from the US to Canada.
Checking that my previous supplier is based here.
We Canadians are doing a lot of that just now.

@slippinjimmy thanks. Obviously this was released prematurely. The main question I have is: does this include ALL the topics? We'll know tomorrow, so no use guessing...

lol, wonder if anyone will find the thread and take it down.......

"To support these and future enhancements, we’ll be adjusting final value fees in most categories starting February 14, 2025, with increases ranging up to a maximum of 0.35%."
Yeah, this could be worse. I'll certainly be looking into/reading more info tomorrow, Th., 1-30-25.
"[M]ost categories" does not mean all categories.
"[I]ncreases ranging up to a maximum of 0.35%" is less than one-half of one-percent, so probably won't be a back-breaking fee increase for most sellers, IMHO. That doesn't mean the hue-and-cry will be any the less, though.

Increase fees for unnecessary changes, they got 4 raises from the USPS alone last year. Knowing your buyers, I'm old and have to look really hard to see repeat buyers, it was better when it was highlighted, I guess color costs more money to use

I found out about the fee increases on the facebook page, by a disgruntled seller who commented on something totally different. I just read the other two on here. I've seen the know your buyer, by looking at their profile name in my sales record. It's been there a few weeks. Nice help to have.
Thanks for mentioning them!

So, does that means we are going from 12.35% to 12.70%?
Or is it going to variable fees based on what?

Interesting - UK business sellers are not getting a FVF increase...which is good because they probably would have rioted over that considering everything else going on over there with fee-free private selling and buyer protection fees coming in next month.

eBay Germany is also not increasing FVF, which again probably would have been a bridge too far on top of the ad fee attribution changes they just announced.

Not seeing anything for Australia yet which is kind of odd - they are usually the first one to release due to the time zone difference.
And nothing for Canada yet either, though we at least know they are losing the shipping supply coupon for store subscribers.

I thought this was a funny statement in the Fee Increase portion:
"Our significant investments in trust and safety measures shield you from unpaid items, fraud, abuse, and unforeseen disruptions..."
Yet it is quite the battle with eBay when dealing with fraudulent or damaged returned items from buyers.

New to this, although I've had an eBay store for 22 years. But things are getting out of hand with their fees and performance levels, etc. In this case, I was able to get to the page about the seller update, but it says I am not verified so I can't leave a question or reply. Any help here?
On another note, I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I have a big problem with how they measure the Seller Performance Level, and assign an additional 6% fee if you fall below standard. Their matrix for measurement is totally not fair. They measure you every 30 days, but any defects remain on your account for 1 year. So it's like being stuck in quick sand. You can never get back out of that hole for a year.

ebay has always been remarkably tone deaf when it comes to dealing with sellers (Above Standard Sellers ....A-S-S... for short is just one old example), and sure enough:
"Happy Valentine's Day!
Our gift to you is : Your FVF Increase launches today!
Love and kisses,
ebay"
(insert sarcasm emoji---ebay didn't actually say that)

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques at least they didn't bring back Cubid for the occasion. 🤣
