Seller Rating verses product Rating

There seems to be some confusion between Seller Rating and Product Rating. A Seller sometimes gets a Negative Rating because the Customer didn't like the product.

No it's not fair and I agree it's a mess but......

Many sellers complain about getting a neg due to some postal failure while other sellers will say they chose that postal service so it is their fault.

So with that it mind wouldn't some also say they chose to sell a dodgy product so....................................
