i sold a customer a $1200.00 fuel pump customer got it & said it made grinding sounds so he did a return i sent him a ebay usps label $6.85 when we sent the pump it cost us $22.00 with signature where ebay came up with $6.85 i dont know. so he mailed it back & the usps lost it. no scans for 10 days, ebay refuned the customer & took the money back from us. talked to 5 ebay agents & they all said i was covered 100%, well today ebay closed the case with no refund to us. we did appeal the case & still lost what a big loss.

No need to yell. I think everyone here is likely just trying to help you. You may not like what some have to say, however it doesn't mean they are wrong.
Something that many sellers do not know is that when you issue a return label to the buyer, you are the shipper of record. That means if it is damaged or lost during transit, it is the seller that is one the hook, not the buyer. So if there was at the very least an acceptance scan by USPS for the item, then how Ebay handled this makes sense.
Not that I'd like it any better than you do. I'd be pretty upset too. Now you need to concentrate on filing the Insurance claim with USPS and hopefully you had the return shipment fully covered.

Don't forget the bonus defect that comes with it courtesy of eBay. 😀
