Last Monday I purchased a Casio Keyboard. The Seller then informs me that she found out it costs too much to ship and she would refund my money that evening. As a seller, I understood that. However, 5 days later she has not refunded my money, but she has relisted the item for sale with a higher shipping cost. What should I do? I just feel as a good seller she should have refunded my money right away; thus deserves negative feedback. I contacted her again, and she has not responded to my email. Thoughts?

Yea, I know I need to do that, but unfortunately Ebay doesn't allow you to do it until after a specified period of time.

Day after estimated date of arrival, file item not received. Close it and you will get your fees back and then give her a negative if you so wish.
Another seller weaseling out of a defect which she would have recevied if she had refunded you.

Hi, Trinton,
This is the second time we have seen this here in so many days. Sellers who are out of stock, tell you to wait for a back order. Or in this case the seller did not think it through that it would be too heavy to mail, so she relisted, but did not refund her buyer They know if they cancel or they refund the buyer his money, it will result in a defect. So they leave it to the buyer to either wait until their new stock comes in or when the item never comes to file an item not received, thus avoiding that defect.
Is ebay aware of this so called loophole and will they be doing anything to plug it?

As I've said, bad on both sides.

I'm not sure this is a loophole.. Item not received will be a defect as well... So they won't be avoiding anything..

Item not receive is NOT a defect if the seller responds to it by issuing a refund. So yes it IS a loophole.

Hi @emerald40, thanks for touching base on this. I can confirm that cancellations, item not received requests, and return requests are all monitored very closely and appropriate action is taken when abuse is suspected. We will take steps to protect our Community when a pattern of poor behavior has been observed.

So many changes lately, so I thank you for filling in the gaps for me and that ebay is monitoring this.
