Sell and get ripped off Welcome to Ebay

Sold 2 scanners on Ebay I paid shipping but Ebay still deducted the sipping from my funds. sold 2 for a total of 260.00. I received 236.00. Ok I will live and learn. Seller returns one scanner and ebay dings me for $283.00.  So now I'm out a scanner plus down $283.00 plus the $60.00 I paid to ship them to the seller. I will never use Ebay to buy or sell anything again. Can't get anyone at Ebay to respond to my Emails or messages.

you put 2 scanners in one listing?

You refunded the whole order?

The customer paid for the shipping in the order?

The numbers you are showing do not add up....look at your transaction page. Something does not make sense based on your description of this transaction......if this is the scanner you sold last month, there is not 260.00, it was 150.00 + shipping.....

From what I'm seeing in the listing, the buyer paid $150. Based on that listing, it's just for 1 item even though the description states that 2 are available. 

How did you sell the second one? Did you do it outside ebay? 

ETA: You had a shipping charge in the listing so yes, buyer paid for shipping. The cost of the labels DOES come from your funds since you received the shipping payment.

Something heavy and sensitive to shipping like scanners are risky business. These normally ship on a pallet to places like Best Buy etc.

Selling two to the same buyer complicates things even worse.  

You said eBay dinged you for 283.00. Did eBay have to refund the money for you rather than you finishing the transaction yourself?

What were the details of your transaction?  Where did things go wrong? You did not provide any detail other than throwing out some numbers.

You sold one scanner on Ebay so I assume you sold the second scanner off Ebay.  You don't say why seller returned the scanner.  But new sellers are advised not to sell expensive items to start with.  As to why you are blaming Ebay for this fiasco is beyond me.  What would you have Ebay say?
