Item specifics, all of it, are being deleted from the original listing when I do a new listing

same issue here, on any new listing the item specifics field is not showing up. Hopefully the bug will be fixed soon

That's normal if doing a Sell Similar off of someone else's listing; you get little more than the listing title as a starting point. But when doing a Sell Similar off one of your own listings, you should get everything. (I did three of my own that way just last night.) Which is happening in your case?

I'm doing it off my own listing. Tried both a "sold" listing and a "currently listed" item.
The entire "item specific" field is gone
Also tried a new listing from scratch and same issue

I talked to ebay and they said the item specifics are not shown but they are still there. They show after you "submit listing".
Not as easy to change an "item specific" now because you must manually type in the name of the item specific and then the change.
Long story short, listing just got slightly harder and more complicated as a result of this change

I noticed this issue this morning as well.
When using “sell similar” function, only description tab of details section is available, not item specifics.
I checked a few drafts I did last night, knowing I was able to put specifics into those ones, and it’s gone from those now too.
It it only seems to be affecting men’s shirts categories (men’s shorts and women’s shirts both unaffected.) Those were the only other categories I had drafts in.
Can’t list any men’s shirts until problem is fixed because who knows what will appear in specifics once the glitch is resolved.
So much for my hopes of a problem-free August!!

I do not believe that the "THE ITEM SPECIFICS SHOW AFTER YOU SUBMIT IF THEY ARE BLANK" I have no idea why a CS rep would say that. And By the way MY ITEM SPECIFICS when doing SELL SIMILAR have ALWAYS been blank and disappeared. Sick of having to FILL THEM IN EVERYTIME! Sucks to much valuable time out of my life dealing with that issue. IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED!

Yup, he tricked me with that poor info.
I checked after our phone call and he is wrong, those item specifics DID NOT show up on my listings

Having the same issue with mens shirts. Sell similar from own listings doesn't generate the item specifics from previous item or the prepoputated fields. Also noticed that the category "Casual Shirts" is now listed as "Casual Button Down Shirts". What ever happened to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! Hope for a quick resolution...

My telephone call with ebay left me less than confident that they are considerring this a bug. They gave me bad info, said the item specifics would show up after i submitted the listing. They made it sound like everything is fine.
Maybe ebay considers this a platform enhancement? lol
Ebay guy agreed with me that without item specifics, my listing will get buried.

Hmmm... Maybe this is some category-specific thing...? I tried a Sell Similar off of one of my live listings again just now, and another off of one of my Sold listings, and in both cases the Item Specifics came up as usual, along with everything else. I'm using Windows 10 and Google Chrome browser here, although last night I was on an old XP box with an older Chrome browser, and that was fine also. Not sure what to suggest here...
Do you get the "Express" Selling form, or the full-feature form? I get the latter; I don't use the simplified version. Not sure if that matters.
