Why do buyers get to chose whether they even pay for a purchase or not. Should payment be immediate like every other retail site? Your policy makes no sense.

@r.m.mortensen- Immediate payment cannot be forced on an auction-style listing.

List as a fixed price listing and check the box for Immediate Payment Required if this is important to you.

As a seller you chose whether to run fixed price listing with immediate payment or auctions.  Auctions cannot not be immediate payment because the bidders are not necessarily around when the auction ends...........
