Seemingly solved our freight forwarder issues

Have had quite a few issues with addresses that appear to be Freight Forwarders (Florida and Deleware..Mostly Florida).
Some say it's all scammers.  Some blame it on USPS. I'm now leaning toward ignorance.
I started noticing something a few months ago when creating labels, and began to change them.
Not a single issue since.
Almost none of these Freight Forwarder addresses are formatted correctly.
Today I had one with the State and the Zip Code inserted in the line where an Apt # should go.
Yesterday one with the Ste # in the 1st address line, and the Forwarder Business name in the 2nd address line.
Seems like EVERY address I see going to one of these forwarders in south Florida is formatted wrong.
SO, without changing the city or zip code, I've been editing the info in the address and placing it in the correct format.
Again, not one single delivery issue since then and I probably change two addresses per day.
Something to think about

Interesting!

I wonder if that somehow changes the bar code & QR code layout to be correct as well.

(Had never thought of a bar code being incorrect, just unreadable by the scanner due to smudges or skips.)

My mail carrier says they look at the addresses when delivering.
If they walk up to a building with several doors/suites in it, glancing at "FL 33165" in the Suite line might throw some carriers off (return to sender or undeliverable).
When delivering, some common sense is involved.  Then again, that common sense "guess" wasn't part of the job description.
I dunno, I've just not had any issues since I started looking over all my addresses and re-formatting the ones that are all over the place.  Usually those are Freight Forwarder addresses.

It could, but keep in mind that the bar code tracks the package; it does not steer it. The address (as the sender keys it in) is validated on-line and then the bar code is generated as the identifier for that package, but ultimately it will be delivered to the printed address on the label.

Sounds like a problem of buyers not entering their address correct.

Ebay could put a stop to that, if they wanted to.

It wouldn't be hard for a script to check the address when a buyer enters it and make sure it's formatted right.

Want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and have a Safe and Happy New Year.
