I now keep running into the issue that I am searching my own listings in seller hub and getting zero results for items that I absolutely have. I search seller hub or as a customer for beanie and get zero results, when I have 150 listings with that word in the title.
I can drop exact titles of some of my listing into manage active listings and get no results.
If you search ebay for Beanie baby you get 29 results. Now granted no one is buying them anyway, but that shows that something is seriously broken.

I needed to search for the specific term: Diables Bleus but Ebay keeps returning the English translation, Blue Devils - I'm not searching for Blue Devils, I'm searching exactly for Diables Bleus.
If eBay is returning different results than what you are searching for or substituting a different keyword, there should be an option to go back to the original search. If not, try putting one of your search terms in quotes. That should force eBay to search for literal matches with no substitutions.
If your search for Diables Bleus is returning Blue Devils results even when using quotes, most likely those results either have the original search term in the item specifics, or the original title contains your search term.

The only difference I could see is that all my jerseys were in clothing category and my cycle jerseys were in sporting goods/cycle jersey category. Now apparently the search focuses on category and not actual words in the title?
eBay searches are often steered into a particular category based on the keywords used in the search. If the keywords you used steered the search into the cycle jersey category, any listings in the clothing category would not be included in those results.

Shop by Category no longer works!
It doesn't matter which category you are in. Your search ALL CATEGORIES.
Example #1: click on Shop by Category (upper left) then select Motorcycles, then the sub-category Harley-Davidson. Now search for "wheels", you get 4.3 million results (nothing to due with Harley-Davidson wheels)
Example #2: click on Shop by Category, then select Toys, then the sub-category Hot Wheels. Now search for "wheels", you get 4.3 million results (nothing to due with Hot Wheels)
So it does not matter what category you are in, you search ALL CATEGORIES.
Make it all most impossible to find items.

It doesn't matter which category you are in. Your search ALL CATEGORIES.
It does not work if you change the category first and then enter your search terms and search.
It does work if you enter your search terms first, search, and then select the category that you want to see your results in using the category tree on the left side of the search results page (if you are using a desktop browser).
For example:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/147699/i.html?_nkw=wheels&rt=nc&Brand=Harley%252DDavidson&_dcat=147699

It's not broken. It's working the way EBAY wants it to work.
