Welcome to the Scrounge Lounge - Spring 2020 Edition

Our History: The Scrounge Lounge formed on the old Auction Listings board 17 years ago in 2003.
We appreciate ebay allowing us to transfer to the new Selling Board.
Who are we? Ebay buyers and sellers who love the thrill of the hunt and the thrill of the $ELL.
We find treasures in the usual, and at times, unusual places.
Here in the Lounge we share our finds, talk about sales, share our successes and our mistakes, we ask and answer questions, help identify widgets, and we'd love to hear about all your scrounging adventures!

Kay yes, we had a good time.

  Have to say we were a bit nervous, with Mr. being around them...  With his low immune system it can be really iffy...

  Esp. since they are on the go around other people more than we are...

  They're going to have to learn to play nice together & share 😉

OS & wife got Sofie a kitten...  Have had him prob. a couple months now.  Sadly they aren't teaching him to stay off the kitchen counters...  From what they said on Saturday the cat is running the house & he's making a big mess of everything....

 Had to snicker when you said hope Sofie was a good girl...  Sofie was being Sofie...  Sadly her mom is really spoiling her...   But  no one says anything about it...

  Hopefully she'll grow out of it before she hits her teenage years.....

We're to start having very hot & humid weather  tomorrow so Mr. & I want to try to get things done outside today so we don't have to be out in it tomorrow...

At least I don't have to cook tonight...  Just having leftovers, so momma is happy 🙂

TY for the compliments/flowers....haven't done too much to change anything.

T sprinkled flower seeds in the hosta bed before they were gaining much height.

Nothing came up.  Hostas have taken over!

AJ has planted flower seeds on the ugliest side of my house...I've transferred a bunch of oriental iris there too and MAY put some red poppies in between. I love red poppies....we haven't had any here for quite awhile. Mom had orange ones, I thought....

We had red poppies for a few days until the wind blew them away.

Wyoming and Colorado had lots of snow last night in the mountains. Like 6 to 10 inches. Lots of wind. So one nasty storm. We had lots of rain and a lot of people had hail. so the rain is good. Have to find out later if we had hail or not. Too muddy to drive and see. Crazy weather.

Sun, is that common in the mountains or a freak storm?
If you had hail I hope there is no damage as a result.

Outdoor dining officially begins next week. I'm sure a lot of restaurants on the Island will take advantage of it for the tourist season, though I'm curious to see how it will play out because there isn't much unused space. Unless they sacrifice parking space and set up there.

Patd, what a cute little pup! Love the cat taking charge of what's what, LOL. Elsie must be thrilled!

Yes, it was a derecho that struck. We were lucky. There are tree limbs and cut wood lining the streets everywhere. Someone DH works with had a tree fall on their SUV. Some body damage, the back door no longer opens. Yesterday we saw a trailer (small enclosed moving trailer) that was crushed like if you karate chopped on a soda can. The remnants of the tree chopped up out front. Crazy.

Pat, sounds like Sofie's cat is spoiled too. I've never had a cat, can they be trained to stay off the counters?

M*M, red poppy sounds pretty, like the field in the Wizard of Oz.

DH has been planting all sorts of stuff. He brings home whatever plant or flower has a broken pot or finished blooming. So far: a couple rhododendron, hydrangea, rose trees, rose bush, maple tree, azaleas, and a few others I forget the names of. If/when they all bloom I'll post some pictures.

Kind of freak storm Kay. Normal for Yellowstone to have snow this time of year but not for Laramie Wyoming or the Colorado mountains. But it has been quite the year so far. Had to turn the furnace back on it was so cold in here.

Great your husband is bringing home all those plants. Wow should be pretty. Good the restaurants are opening. Hope they find plenty of room for everyone.

I loved that floor Patd. Interesting on the kitty taking the puppy's crate. Bet that could be a fight. I don' t think I have ever heard of a derecho storm. Does not sound good.

Hey All.  I'm ALIVE!  Should be out doing something, everyone here is napping. 

I was just resting but that didn't last long.

Sun, you're so right about poppies blowing away so easily, paper thin...

You must be drying out there, it's been a bit windy here too and we've had some rain, now will be dry for the next couple weeks I see.

Kay, Yay on the bonus plants from DH's work. That's great. Would love to see some pics.

Poor iris all blew over, one is Huge with about 4 blossoms on it. I should go take a pic before it's gone. 

AJ's been planting veggies in the back. I don't think there is enuff sun but he can transplant...especially the pumpkins!

Today he came home with a nice big round grill with lid and has wheels/handle attached.  Nice!  He asked the homeowners if it was free...yup.  🙂 

Grilling is on again.

Guess I'm right in the middle of the havoc! No storms here/knock wood!

AFA ebay, no sales in months. So sad but I haven't changed much in as long LOL

I'm so lazy.

Visited with Ellen this am for awhile. Bandit and I usually go over there twice a week. She's doing great. Sold her car (doesn't want to get another cataract surgery),  She did have a biopsy I completely forgot to ask her about but she's happy and talked and talked.  

This town is dead. Drove around today, didn't see much of anything. Grocery and Liquor is about all there is LOL Good Lord, ppl still wearing masks. I never have. This is a total set up afa I'm concerned. WHO/CHINA.
