Welcome to the Scrounge Lounge - Spring 2020 Edition

Our History: The Scrounge Lounge formed on the old Auction Listings board 17 years ago in 2003.
We appreciate ebay allowing us to transfer to the new Selling Board.
Who are we? Ebay buyers and sellers who love the thrill of the hunt and the thrill of the $ELL.
We find treasures in the usual, and at times, unusual places.
Here in the Lounge we share our finds, talk about sales, share our successes and our mistakes, we ask and answer questions, help identify widgets, and we'd love to hear about all your scrounging adventures!

Good Monday Morning All!

Alive and well, still holing up, but we don't really need a thing so life is good.

Sun, glad you got soaked, if you need it, always welcome. We sure didn't get any record snowfalls here!

I'm sure the Spring rain will make up for it! xxx fingers and toes, for the farmers.

Thank you for the NS Kay 🙂

Glad you were able to get most of the things your daughter needed..

Shelves are bare here.  Was worse when I went to Kroger this past Friday, than what it was the Friday before...

We're getting our painting done.  Got the cutting in done yesterday & will get the painting done either this afternoon or tomorrow.

Sun, sorry about your crazy weather.

We got snow yesterday but it's already melted.

Have to run some errands today & drop off YS's B-day card today.  He's hitting the big 40 !

Man....  Guess I was a baby when I  had him!!!  🤣

Jill can you use some of the money that Travis is paying you for rent to buy a new washer & dryer?

I bet Bandit loves going for car rides...  Our dogs always loved to go bye bye....

We keep saying some day we're going to get a pup, but we don't have a fenced in back yard & I'm not tying a dog up, so who knows...

Well have to get back to wiping down counters & then get things around so I can run my errands...

Yes, Pat. I could but haven't, just in case the next wave of something due doesn't throw me off the rails. 😛

I haven't even looked or inquired on local trade sites.  I have sorted laundry in bags ready to go "Somewhere" lol

Travis said he took Bandit out on another walk around the property the other day...but she rarely leaves the yard, no fences needed. That's maybe the 2nd time since they got here last July that he has reminded her.

Even if she is laying in the neighbor's yard a foot, he will tell her to move. She does anything he tells her to do.

She is never on a leash. She responds to commands to turn right or left and many others, but she's a trained 15 year old!

She laid under a bus seat from CA to MN with zero complaints and at least 4 exchanges. She deserves some COMFORT.

Re: [][][] Scrounge Lounge [][][] Spring Edition 2020 [][][]

Bandit sounds like such a good dog.
I always wanted a dog that well trained. I lack the patience and/or skill to pull it off. Our first dog was a headstrong alpha. I was young and treated her like my baby so she had me wrapped around her paw. She (Madison) was a good dog. Amber (beagle) was sweet and loveable but had selective hearing down to an art.

Pat, sorry the shelves were empty. Hope you found what you needed most.
Happy BD to your YS.

Rainy and cold here today. We'll be staying in.

I got some peas planted yesterday and now it is back to raining, so no more planting.

Working from Home and one of the fur kids thinks she should be able to sit on mom all day.

Grocery store was like normal yesterday. People just buying what they need. Not that many people there. Only the TP shelves are bare. Otherwise well stocked. Almost all our snow is gone. 63 degrees yesterday.

Re: [][][] Scrounge Lounge [][][] Spring Edition 2020 [][][]

No 50,000 offer here. I think I had a smaller offer last month when I began listing again. I didn't use it. Haven't reached my 50 free since I'm back.

Sun, glad that the snow melted and weather warmed.

I haven't been out since Saturday. I was able to get my hands on a container of Clorox wipes thanks to my parents. There was also TP in stock, which they picked up for my cousin. Hopefully that's a sign that the mad rush is over and shelves will begin to fill out again. I know most of the stores are limiting the amount of in-demand items you can purchase to one or two per person. That helps.

I've been cooking a lot more than I typically do. We're fans of dining out which is off limits. One of these days I'm sure we'll do take out or curbside pick up. I'm kind of waiting till DH gets really stir crazy. It'll break up the monotony.

That's about it.
Hope all are safe and symptom free.

Mornin' All! Glad to see no one here is sick...knock wood.

Things are still closed here but everyone offers take out..

We drove thru DQ last night, drove around town, took Bandit to the cemetery to run and sniff around.

Found the laundromat open so might do that today.

Kay that's funny, selective hearing fine tuned down to an art, I think all of them have that at times.

Dogs can be such fun...

I had, or should say, we had, a weimeraner in Alaska, California, Idaho..."Van", she was shipped to us in AK from Texas...she was a gem. I missed her for many years.

It was in the forties here yesterday.

Power went out this am for about twenty mnts.  It was pitch black, good thing I had a lighter and know where the candles are. Glad that didn't last!

Actually, "Van" was a male. I'm finally used to calling Bandit a she. Now calling Van a she..
That's what decaf does for me. Good on ya, cooking more, Kay.

Re: [][][] Scrounge Lounge [][][] Spring Edition 2020 [][][]

My paypal is on hold.  When I hooked up the new checking acct, the bank didn't authorize it I found out when I called for the acct number the other day, couldn't find it, was easier to call the bank than look for it.

Anyway, wasn't authorized so I'm supposed to go answer questions before I can get my moola!

Lady had a bunch of free stuff on the curb yesterday around the corner.. We scrounged some look like brand new shower heads, 4 or five...weird.

Enjoy SURVIVOR tonight, you Kay and Pat.

Way Late HI to Patd! Hope you are still faring well!

Hey Teacups, great that you can work from home! Congrats on the nice ROI on the dress!, very cute.

I tried listing some stuff yesterday and nothing on Ebay would work correctly. Finally just gave up. Might try again today. Too many people listing.

Glad you were able to get out and drive around MM. Helps you feel better.

Glad you were able to get some needed supplies Kay. Yep take out works fine.
