Welcome to the Scrounge Lounge March 2019 Edition
Our History: The Scrounge Lounge formed on the old Auction Listings board in 2003.
Who are we? Ebay buyers and sellers who love the thrill of the hunt and the thrill of the $ELL.
We find treasures in the usual, and at times, unusual places.
Here in the Lounge we share our finds, talk about sales, share our successes and our mistakes, we ask and answer questions, help identify widgets, and we'd love to hear about all your scrounging adventures!

mornin' all
Yay for the fun Spring job for your DH Kay. Boo on the Saturday mornings though. You and your aunt may have to scrounge on without him!
Hope he enjoys it, paychecks are good lol!
I've had a couple decent paychecks the last month but other than 3 Sunday over nights in a row in April, I only have 10 hours, two short five hour double staffed shifts the next two weeks.
Thanks Sun. I had a decent short shift, always glad to be home!
I need to get those sand tubes out of my trunk.. I need new shocks, and that's part of the problem driving on rough roads, and certainly don't need the pounding with extra weight in the trunk.
God only knows what the truck needs. I am going out to get some carb cleaner, 2nd attempt. Drove the truck down to this shop the other day, ran ok for a little while, the longer it runs, the rougher it gets. Someone told me to try some carb cleaner. I'm wondering if I should just do it or ask the mechanic what he would do first. I think I'm just going to do it, see what happens, can't hurt!

We've heard about it on our UK news every single day and night for almost 3 years, and it's driving me nuts.
UPDATE, even though no-one here is really interested, but it's driving me nuts.
Today, the 29th of March, the UK was officially going to leave the EU, but it's not happening today.
The beat goes on, and on, and on...................

Oh well Madison, whatchagonna do? Sounds like an economic mess and that's way above my paygrade. I don't know wth is going on there.
I heard a bit about it this morning, delays happening, don't know much about May but she's gone anyway soon, I thought. It's all half listening on my part.

May agreed an exit deal with the EU, but the members of parliament won't agree to it, they voted against it again yesterday. There is also a problem with Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, but the Republic of Ireland isn't, and will be remaining in the EU. So, if the UK can't agree a deal with the EU over Northern Ireland and the Republic, it's going to cause massive problems.
This brexit thing has been the biggest political shambles in the history of the British government.
I really don't know what's going to happen next, I just want it to end.

Madison, can you avoid watching/listening to the news for awhile? It does make the news here, but I have no trouble blocking it out 😛
Yard sales today! Only a few, but they are the first of the season 🙂
Even if I block the news out, everyone here is talking about it, there is no escape, it's doing my head in.
Anyway, on a more positive note, the final season of Game Of Thrones is next month. Yaaay!

Hey Madison.
We get some Brext news here, too. Smells like some of the EU countries or local politicians don't want GB out and have bought themselves some members of parliament to screw things up. We have similar problems here 😞
I am so tired of hearing about the Mueller report. I used to turn the radio on in the car for entertainment but no more. Some folks want to keep it alive to keep their names in the news and push their own agendas. The news will NOT let it go 😞
On another note sales are down 80+% from last month.

Hi All--
Kay, good luck going g. saling today... Hope you find some goodies..
I feel the same way about the news here. I don't want my head buried in the sand, but it's the same thing day in & day out... It honestly does get really old...
My sales are non-existent. I keep plugging away w/different items in my listings, but it def. isn't help out any. I know it's a hard time of year right now, what w/Christmas bills coming in, tax season, everyone sick w/this weather up n down, etc. The list goes on and on...
About all a person can do is just keep plugging away & hope the cloak lifts & moves on 😉
YS & family are heading to Georgia this afternoon for Spring Break. They were hoping to have warmer weather, but it doesn't sound like their 1st few days are going to be very warm.
Aaron was telling us a couple weeks ago they were going on vaca. I asked him where they were going & he said "ATLANTIS" !
I said really? Mr. & I burst out laughing.. I asked if he was going to take some scuba gear with him... When our son got here to pick him up & told him what Aaron had said..
He laughed & looked at him & said Aaron... We're going to Atlanta, NOT Atlantis!
Out of the mouth of babes 😉
