I just had my first experience buying on FB Marketplace.
I was sad to have so many sellers mention that they had been dealing with no-shows, last second hagglers, and scammers. And a couple of sellers whose "too good to be true" deals were bait and switch when it came down to it.
So the scammers are everywhere.
You are probably aware of the B&M scam "sale" prices? Sears was notorious for putting a high price on newly arrived merchandise for a week or so, then selling it over the next year at a "reduced" price. They were fined several times by the Canadian Bureau of Consumer Affairs until we got a Conservative government which abolished the Bureau.
