Scammed and then customer refunded by Ebay!

I am FUMING!!! A noted scam artist that has had multiple closed accounts scammed me and was fully REFUNDED by Ebay for his scam! This joker bought a 3 pack of supplements from me, received them, then took pictures of what he claims he received...three dollar store bottles of pills that he conveniently substituted for my products. He then demands a refund and RETURNS the fraudulent bottles to me. I immediately reported him and called Ebay. Long story short, I actually spoke with a knowledgeable Ebay rep today who told me this scammer has had multiple closed accounts for these offenses and that there would be no way I would "lose" this case. This evening I got an email from Ebay saying they refunded him IN FULL because they can't determine whether he is at fault. REALLY??!! A scammer with a history vs a 20-plus year seller and they side with the scammer??!! I just called and they said they would send it back to appeal it, but I don't hold much hope. This is ridiculous and a really shi--y way to treat your sellers!!

Was this a regular CS person on the phone or did they transfer you to T&S?  I only ask, as the folks who regularly answer/address concerns usually cannot connect those dots and typically, T&S will not tell us much about another e-Bay account, etc.

I am sorry about your situation.  Hopefully, the appeal will go in your favor.

I agree with you, as you obviously provide a service for a select group.

But I gotta ask ( I really must ask) what supplements did your buyer substitute for yours? Your product is very specialized and dollar stores wouldn't carry it so you need someone at ebay to view what you sell vrs that picture and return item.

     I also question the professional conduct of that CS agent who disclosed private information concerning another account. I would file an appeal and note this also in your appeal.

...when it's gonna being an end for this madness...???
