!!Scam!!

I sold 2 amplifiers to this guy on eBay for almost 2000euro. After he had won the item, I carefully packed the item and made photos of the packages, also made photos of the Trackingnumber and shared everything with him.

After 3 days of shipment, he built a claim against saying he never received the item.

eBay believed him and told me, I had only 3 days to show a signature of the buyer that he received the item...how crazy is that!!

Than after 3 days eBay payed him back the money, even after showing eBay the tracking Information and confirmation that the package had indeed been delivered.

I had over 25 emails going back and fored to eBay, first they gave me the advantage and told me not to worry. I have send all print screens and all information necessary to show that the packages had been received.

But according to eBay that didn't prove anything and wanted to have a signature?! (**bleep**) , then someone else from ebay stepped in and told me that they gave the advantage to the buyer because I couldn't show a signature. This is complete madness!!! Not only the buyer is criminal but even eBay is criminal!! eBay doesn't care any less if you loose your money and your item. I will never sell anything anymore on eBay! Customer service is horrible! You cannot contact anyone by phone, only by email and every email that you send, someone else will answer that doesn't know anything about your case.

Then eBay and PayPal claim to have a buyer and seller protection program, this is complete **bleep**.

Worst possible customer service I have every had, since a do business on the internet for over 20+ years.

I hope eBay will read this also and does contact the buyer and give me my money back, but probably not.

Re: !!Scam!!

Any purchase at $750.00 and above has to include the signature of the buyer upon delivery for the seller to be protected.

Re: !!Scam!!

But eBay doesn't think.... How the hell would I be able to arrange a signature within 3 days??. I live in the Netherlands and he lives in Vietnam and is using a in-between shipment company in the USA. You have to be honest here that the regulation of eBay is complete **bleep**.

In the tracking information which is supplied by the shipment company, it is saying package is delivered and I even showed feedback from the buyer that he received the package in full working order!

That is 200% prove that the package has been delivered

Re: !!Scam!!

I really don't understand why eBay is protecting a buyer who is disrespecting all eBay standards.

The buyer had absolutely no reason to built a claim against me...none!

Even now you are protecting him so he can scam other people on eBay. Why are you doing this. This doesn't make eBay better, it makes a worse. I will never sell anything again on eBay anymore. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Re: !!Scam!!

It’s very frustrating I am sure... you just need to produce the tracking number and signature since it is over $750 and you should be covered. You can then suggest the buyer file a police report or contact the postal service  if they feel it was stolen.  If you are certain the person committed mail fraud then I’m sure your country has a system for reporting such instances. Before you do this I’d be certain that they actually did receive the item. Although highly unlikely, anything is possible.

Re: !!Scam!!

...buyer is from Vietnam..Vietnam is a socialist and communist country...its police department is well corruption...don't waste time to file any report because without the "green papers", any report will straightly going to trash can...

...this information can confirm through the Vietnamese community in USA, especially the ones whom frequently traveling back there...

Re: !!Scam!!

I am very sorry but ebay is an 800 pound gorilla, please do not try and make your first sale here of item(s) that will pay your mortgage.  I realize people are getting desperate but jumping into the big wild ocean to learn how to swim just isn't going to work out good for most people.

I am not most people, because I like to think I am smarter than most.

Are you like me?

There exist many articles on how to start selling on ebay, like yourself I ignored most all of it and sold my first item for $150 but it was worth $200 and then I paid near $50 for shipping and another what seemed like $30 in fees then the buyer wasn't happy and I was near tears too...

I would not sell another item on ebay for quite some time after that...

But did I read those articles and did I follow all of the advice for new sellers?

No, I did not.

I thought how bad can it be?

No come on really how bad can it seriously be, are all you guys noobs?

So I came, I saw, and I got my tail handed to me.

Because it's bad.

It's every last bit of as bad as they say it is.

So, you may want to start reading ebay's policies and watching youtube videos and reading many articles if you wish to continue selling here.

I have been selling on ebay now for about 10 years...

Some days / weeks / months /years are definitely better than others.

Oh and I did read quite a lot of articles and policy and watched videos and even got into perusing the dev's API to give you some idea of how much and how strongly I believe in being well versed.

Here on ebay...

Your best defense against "it" is education.

Educate yourself and you should fare better.

Best of luck to you, god speed.

Re: !!Scam!!

Thanks for all the feedback guys, but in reality eBay is fraud and scam by itself. I supplied all correct information, photo's, Tracking-Information, Feedback from the buyer, Printscreens from the Tracking-Information.

So multiple ways of information, the buyer had NONE. Not even a reason to built a case and eBay at first believed me and said that I would keep my money, 2 emails later someone else stepped in and told me they give the benefits to the buyer and they would send all money back to the buyer. ....really?! This is F, **bleep**  I'm really **bleep** off because customer service is a joke, they don't take a case serious and don't care any less if you loose 2000euro and your items

Re: !!Scam!!

Did you get a signature? Because Ebay requires that for items over $750...there are no exceptions,

Re: !!Scam!!

Ebay has rules.

And a very important rule is to use signature confirmation on transactions over $750.

If signature confirmation isn’t available in the buyer’s country, then you better set up your country shipping exclusions to prevent anyone from such a location from buying your item.

Your buyer was able to get a refund because you didn't protect yourself. It is not enough to show delivery in this case. The eBay rule states you must set up the signature confirmation when the listed  item sold. You cannot set that up after the fact.

You would have had to know the policy ahead of time, that signature is necessary upon delivery. I know you are upset, but this error is yours alone. You did not follow eBay’s policy and you got burned because of it.

It was a very expensive mistake. You have no one to blame but yourself.
