Scam attempt - from ebey! LOL

Lol, no "safety" group? So just use first one. Not that ebay cares anyway... 

So ebay customers service sux, everybody knows that. "Talking" to them can is always the most frustrating experience. Talking to one of their chat bots recently was no different.

Then yesterday I got a message from (what looks like) eBay about my recent inquiry. So today I replied that "nope, ain't solved".  And I got a reply asking me to contact customers service at eBey Customer Service 

No, I didn't spell eBay wrong. Obviously a scam site.

This all happened outside of eBay. And you chose to respond ... outside of eBay?

So eBay did not cause it, nor had any knowledge that any of this happened.

I've seen mistakes. Not long ago they misspelled Country.

Sure, **it happens. But this is obviously a scam attempt. They asked me now for email and phone number. I told them those on record are still valid.

It's not outside ebay when it's supposed to be the official ebay facebook page. 

Anyway, page reported to facebook. They may take it down, or not as they are another incompetent company with sub-par staff.

No idea what you try to say. 

I believe the method is to monitor the eBay Facebook page for messages left, and then contact them a while later. 

Hence the contact makes sense and appears legit - up to the fake 'eBey' page with zero followers/likes.

Update: "eBey" page got taken down.

It was suggested to me. It's near impossible to get hold of somebody from eBay. And I presume the "chat" is done by bots. At least the scammer seems to be human 😉

Yes that was a scam site. The real Facebook eBay page is not called customer service it is called eBay for Business.
