Is this real? I am uncomfortable that it is from aol.com and that I do not have any messages in my eBay inbox about receiving payment. It also still says waiting on payment. If it is fake, how do I proceed?

Scam.
eBay messages do not come from aol.

Big fat scam of course. Always check your sales and payments in Sellers Hub.Was that listing even yours? I dont see it.

Interesting. A scam, I assume you have this item for sale and the $'s matched your listing? If so, wonder how they got your email.
You should forward this to I think its spoof@ebay.com. and you should let them know if this was keying off an actual listing.

Also, I don’t see this item in your completed listings, has it been removed by eBay?

SCAM
If your item has been purchased but NOT paid for yet, it will be in awaiting payment: https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_PAYMENT Do not ship.
If your item has been purchased AND PAID FOR, it will be in awaiting shipment: https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_SHIPMENT You can see the buyer's payment here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin If this is the case you can ship the item within your specified handling time.
If the item is not in any of these places, no sale has taken place.
Did you give the buyer your email address or phone number? If so, any "payment" email you receive is FAKE. Let us know if this is what has happened, there are steps you need to take.
Here are some red flags to watch out for.
1. Buyer asks for your email address, Paypal address
2. Buyer sends you a phone number to text/call him/her
3. Buyer asks you to buy gift cards to go with the order
4. Buyer asks you to send the item to a different address after paying
5. Buyer wants you to send the item overnight/express and will pay you a lot extra to do this
6. Buyers says that they cannot pay through the eBay website and sends you a link to click on so that the payment will go through
7. Buyer offers more for your item than the price you have it listed for
If any of the above things happen, you are being set up to be scammed.

The item was real. Here's the link. eBay often redirects searches for closed listings, to similar items that are still available to be purchased. This is supposed to help potential buyers who are looking for items by showing items that are still available.
AOL doesn't have anything to do with sold eBay listings. Payment should be shown in your eBay seller hub. If it's not there, it didn't happen, and anyone who says otherwise is a lying scammer.

My bad, I was only looking at the prices and couldn’t find a $1054 computer…
@kassm-3511 You don’t have anything to do. Since your scam buyer will not be sending a payment, you can wait 96h and eBay will automatically record a unpaid item and you don’t have anything to do.
I would suggest you wait until you have a bit more experience and feedback as a seller before listing high priced electronics. Otherwise, you’ll be a prime target for scammers while legitimate buyers might not feel comfortable buying such items from you yet.

Thank you everyone for the input. I’ve never sold on eBay and had some old electronics to sell so I thought I’d give it a shot. I appreciate everyone’s help in this situation.

Without reading the whole message... I knew it was fake as soon as I noticed they wanted it shipped to "United State"

Yes, a very good catch about "United State". More often than not, scammers reveal themselves by typos, bad spelling or diction, bad punctuation, and an overall general misuse of the English language.
Another tip-off that this is a scam is "Please read the issues with this transaction below this email to know more about your transaction." ... Huh?? -- eBay doesn't send official notices with that type of confusing, amateur abuse of the English language and misuse of the word "issues".
I'll bet there are more errors, but the images the OP attached are a bit too small to fully read.

Also, the bogus email from the scammer doesn't mention the buyer's ID - he/she only says that a Debbie Putman has paid, which doesn't sound like a real eBay buyer's ID... eBay always adds the buyer's ID on a sales notice.

Also any mention of "escrow" is a clear sign.
