Ebay seems to be making a promise to our buyers that we are supposed to ship same day for all of our items. We do not usually ship same day but on some occasions we have, maybe 10% of the time. We have a 3 business day handling time specified for ALL of our items. Our buyers have become angry about this.

@maximus7001b This has been a frequent complaint on the boards. eBay staff have confirmed "this is working as intended". Your handling time means nothing to eBay. They base your handling time on how long it takes you to ship on average. The only way to fix this that I am aware of is to up your handling period to 5 or more days.

when I am not shipping at all!

Perhaps ebay figures if they say 'Same Day Shipping' enough, and sellers get enough flak from buyers, the sellers will fall in line and ship same day? And, I think the UA still says that sellers are responsible for everything in their listing.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

That's a known bug. I suspect that this Same Day Shipping is related to it (as it pops up in the same area of the page, where random brag phrases are plugged in), and is not simply the result of some sort of calculation based on your actual handling time vs. your promised handling time, as has been claimed.

This "Same Day Shipping" note on sellers' listings is happening lots no matter what the handling time...Canadian sellers listing on .COM are experiencing same thing, even when they have their listings checked for handling times of 3 or more days...

That particular glitch (the same day shipping note on the listing box) seems to happen when the delivery time 'varies' rather than giving any specific arrival date. I only see same day shipping on the listings where you specify flat rate freight as that does not give a specific arrival date.

I have a buyer saying my listing is confusing and thinks its my doing. I wish ebay would at least not HIGHLIGHT IT IN RED. That might help if they just refuse to fix it.

While I haven't noticed this on any of my listings - I also use a 3 day handling window - I have been messaging my buyers today - that due to the storm threatening the east coast - I will not be shipping until Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning so ebay's estimated arrival time is likely inaccurate.

Other than one media mail shipment from Florida to Alaska taking four weeks, I haven't noticed much of a USPS slow down during the covid attack.

I'm a Canadian (ebay.ca) seller with a 3 day handling time. Just listed my 1st "Local Pickup" item. sure enough my listing has the exact red "Same Day Shipping" on it. It's a big problem because it's a large item (drum set) that has to ship in 3 separate boxes and two are heavy. In Canada the eBay shipping Calculator doesn't work with UPS. I had to manually add UPS shipping info into the listing. for Local Pickup the set can go out assembled but to ship it has to be completely disassembled with parts bagged and tagged. This isn't going to happen "Same Day". Let's hope this gliche is fixed SAME DAY eBay!
