I'm having a problem with adding a tracking number one package.
I have one buyer with four different 0 feedback accounts. All shipping addresses are identical as is the buyer's name and email address. I purchased a label and tried to add the shipping number to the other three items, to ship them all together, and the system will not allow it.
I've looked for live chat to ask ebay to allow me to add the tracking number to the other three, but I can't find it. I'm deaf and cannot call them. So...I'm not sure what to do here. Aside from it looking really concerning that this buyer bought four items with four different names, all accounts created May 1st, 2017, now I can't add a tracking number to them without shipping four different envelopes, which is ridiculous.
Help? Please?

Yes, it looks like that is exactly what occured.
I thought as much. That's how the system works - each item creates a new ID/transaction. I would ship separately with tracking in that situation.
Nothing to worry about - no red flags about the buyer using a guest account, I get plenty of sales from guests.

Earlier today countless people educated me that tracking is not always required. Actually this is true. Doesn't eBay allow you to simply mark something as "shipped"? Do you not see that option? You don't need tracking. People use this feature a lot.

But, without tracking...I can't prove that I shipped it.

@mermista91 This is very likely a buyer who purchased using a guest account. Are the IDs a bunch of random letters and numbers? That's a telltale sign of a guest account. Since they paid separately instead of using the shopping cart feature and paying for them together it resulted in four different transactions. I would ship in 4 different packages so you have tracking for everything.

I've had no issues adding tracking numbers to combined packages for the same buyers, ever.
Granted this is different and very odd.
Paypal has allowed the number to be added to all four, because to them...this is indeed the same buyer, when they paid through the same email account.
Paypal's info also shows that this buyer bought as an ebay guest. So how did this happen? Did each guest purchase open an account with a new name assigned to the same person?

The buyer could be buying as a guest, hence the new id for each transaction.
There hasn't been a live chat on the US for a few years and even if there was, I doubt that an eBay rep would be able to change the system so that you could enter the same tracking number for different id's. If it were me and the items were not that expensive I would probably mail them in 1 or 2 packages. If the buyer claims an inr on an item that does not show the tracking number you would likely lose the claim but that really does not happen that often.

I would just be safe and cancel them all thats what I would do

I didn't realize that PP would let you add the tracking on their site but it makes sense. Did the numbers happen to transfer over to eBay? Probably not but it doesn't hurt to check.

I just checked, it does not appear to have transferred to Ebay. Perhaps there is a delay in that, but...I'll check again tomorrow.
I'm thinking of going ahead and shipping in two packages so my butt is at least half covered...

Thank you, not sure I've dealt with guests before. My buyers are usually collectors and repeat buyers who have been here for a long time. Never had an issue like this before.

The guest might be a collector who recently discovered eBay. It's also possible to convert a guest account into a registered account and, who knows, you may end up with a repeat buyer out of it.
