Hi,
just curious if eBay is extremely slow over the last month or so? My sales are down by 1/3… it is very quiet over here.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Cari

My entire family is all ready done with Christmas shopping, decided it would be better this year to do it now.

It does have an impact. The economy is not doing as great as the overpaid Senators and Congressman are saying it is, and Trumps trade wars are not helping. Throw in a Government shutdown, where not only those who work in the departments shuttered, are not getting paid, there are thousands of contractors not getting paid.
Logic dictates that discretionary spending has to be affected to some extant given the above factors.

My sales were good for September, which is usually slow but I also had added quite a few new items. I have not been able to list regularly the last couple weeks and sales dropped dramatically. (eBay is just a hobby for me) If I don't list, I don't sell. It could also be the economy. However, when I was at the mall last Sunday the place was packed. I even mentioned to my husband that you wouldn't know that people are hurting by looking at the parking lot!

When people have less money, they spend less.
Who could have ever imagined such a thing? 😎

We seen the same thing. We went to Village Inn Restaurant for dinner on Saturday and they were packed. Then we went to the Casino after dinner to walk around and drop a 20.00 then head home. They were seriously packed. To top it off i was watching people bet on the slot machines and most people were NOT betting the min bet.
I was like WOW really.....

Eons ago when you got that first job you should have listened to all those who told you to put 10% aside every payday for the inevitable "rainy day". Welcome to the monsoon.

Perhaps it's time to take off the blinders
Manny people appear now to be more interested in enjoying sensory experiences & less in acquiring the ownership of items

This is absolutely my experience - if I slack off on listing for a while, my sales disappear. We've got to keep feeding the beast.
Stores here are bustling.

Frankly I don’t get your point. I guess you didn’t read thoroughly as my household does not have a problem. I am referring to all the people who are not in our financial position.
Many people have families at home, house payments, car payments, etc…we have none of those.
