Just wondering if it is just me, or if other long-time sellers have noticed a complete drop through the floor of sales that started in the beginning of this month?

I think online sales will diminish across the board as gadgets are hacked and folks come full circle back to touching feeling and buying in person. doubledz -a2z -
That might be true for some buyers but I doubt it will be for most . I've tried other selling venues where buyers know they must actually come to your house to pick up their purchases and it seems about 65 % of the time they just don't want to go to the trouble . I think people in general are getting very comfortable with online shopping than ever before . There's a much bigger selection of items to choose from as well as the overall ease of having purchases delivered right to the door . Time constraints , bad weather ,, imobility , the distances to travel and the lack of ability to haul home larger items also plays into it. Tulips

@gamersbaystore wrote:I agree, $12 an hour isn't much really. I averaged about $18 an hour at my last job working as a waiter, and as much as $30 an hour on the weekends, yet I barely cut the bills with that. But I quit back in December because I couldn't handle the stress of waiting on 50 people at a time, not to mention being screamed at by angry co-workers who have nothing but hatred for humanity.
I have to make ebay work somehow. Even if I made only $12 an hour here, that would be far greater than most of the jobs where I live. Most jobs here pay only minimum wage, which was $7.85 an hour until recently. This is why I had such angry co-workers, they earned minimum wage, no raises, and my wage alone not including tips was greater than theirs.
This is why lawmakers are forcing employers to pay more, because of **bleep** like this. No one is going to survive on $7.85 an hour.
One good thing happened when I left that job though, I had several thousand dollars in the bank to fall back on. It recently ran out and Im stuck waiting for my tax refund check, or stuff to sell. I admit, I wasn't the best at managing my money and I probably shouldn't be broke right now, but no ones perfect.
I think you could probably write my life story . 🙂 Tulips

If you go into the grocery store knowing the item you want/need is in the far back corner on the bottom shelf you pass right by all the impulse or deeply discounted items to get back to the ones you want. Same things applies here.doubledz --
Men do that for the most part inside of stores ,, but women are the gatherers . My friends and I call the one dollar stores in our area the 30 dollar stores instead . 🙂 Tulips

Yes, my sales since February started have been non-existent after a good Christmas. Obviously, I'd expect sales to drop after the shopping season, but not go to virtually zero.

All these people wondering why sales are down? I mean really? The writing has been on the wall for awhile. Ebay does not generate the traffic it once did - PERIOD END OF STORY!
No matter how many times Ebay wants to put it on you by "upgrading" your standing in the maze, the MAZE they created, No matter how many times some cheerleader wants to tell you its your pictures or some hogwash, the REAL REASON is the most obvious one, Ebay is fledgling. Its about time to accept it.
I know you are on a limited income, I know you depend on this to feed your kids, or get some extra cash but its clear as day from ant angle you look at it from. Look at their growth rate, look at the changes Ebay puts forth and compare it to what your personal profit is. Ebay is surviving by bleeding the few faithful, and the few new users, for every cent they can to show profit and are STILL STRUGGLING. They have given up making money from your sales and have shifted making money on you listing (see the GTC grab) and trying to sell it to you desperate folks based on what EBAY used to be! You can't spend the last decade enraging your entire customer base without ramifications.
The sooner you come to accept it the sooner the healing can be begin. I wish everyone the best

I think ebay is changing a lot of venues..we small sellers are experiencing the change right now. Guess we have to wait this out. Just remember Ebay doesn't help the small seller at all, you just have to play the game when you figure out how to do that when the new rules come into your life. Best of luck to all.

YOY impressions down from 1,100,000 to 78,000. Views down from 10,000 to 1,800. YOY sales down 85%. I used to sell everything I painted quickly and could not keep up with demand. Now? Nothing
Sales have all but ceased. No questions. No watchers. No views. When it turned off it turned off like a light switch. So yeah, something is terribly wrong.
This is not my main account BTW....just a buying account I use for posting sometimes.

My sales are about average, BUT many of them are repeat buyers who follow my social media page, or people I meet at shows who later look me up.
For one-off, first-time sales from people I never met, yes, it's down to a trickle.
