Sales Tax Question

Since ebay has been collecting and remitting sales tax on my listings depending on the buyer's location, why am I given the option to check "Sales Tax" on the listing form?    Sometimes it is pre-checked and yesterday, just before I submitted by listing, I noticed it wasn't pre-checked.   Does this little box matter as far as ebay handling the sales tax for me?

Nope. It no longer matters.

Just to be clear, it doesn't matter now if that box is checked or not on my listings?   I can't remember to look at it and hope I don't need to.

The option is there if you were located in a non-marketplace state that has a sales tax.  Now all states except those with no sales tax are marketplace states, so this option should be left blank when creating a listing until ebay removes it in the future.
