After a horrid September month and sales falling to lowest they been in a year I called EB MP, who connected me to Sales Team and what did we find? Promoted Listings dropped from the time I told them sale plummeted. Check your Performance -> Traffic and see if this affected you. Eb reported it to Tech Support to look into because - there is Nothing we can do about it, it's Ebay's job to promoted listings and generate traffic to your listings/store. Either something happened on the account or there is something wrong with the Promotional Campaign ebay has your listings in, mine is " Listing Campaign - US - 64"

I am down also in sales accepted a offer earlier this morning and still unable to send buyer an invoice. We have no way of knowing what kind of problems buyers are having but I have had some complain to me

Listing impressions dropped 24.9% is what mine says.

And I am 35.1% down on sales

yes, and this will be typical result if your listings are in the same campaign... however, no one knows why or what is going on seem, like said talked to MP last week Sales Team - no answer, again today MP - no answer. No one knows why this is happening... it has to be some kind of internal error within the promoted listings campaign itself. Like Sales told me, promoted listings aren't meant to sell all your items via the promoted listings, it's meant to draw traffic to your listing(s) and then have the buyers go to your other listings/store...that is how ebay finds to draw more traffic/sales with promoted listings...and as you can see, they do actually make quite a difference. Use to look at these charts and say "ah, whatever" but after you experience the tremendous drop and increased decreased sales, you really see how these can impact you.

I had one of my really good repeat buyers see on her end of things that her payment was processing. She got a hold of me and was very concerned and I had to explain to her what was going on. It does lead to the question on whether people aren't buying at all because they they are concerned.
Adding insult to injury, I also got charged an international fee on her sale even though her address is in Delaware. I guess she originally registered when she was still living in China. Sold to her many times before without being charged this, thanks MP.

Thanks for posting some of the complaints buyers and sellers are getting.

I do suspect with MP and some sellers holding out to ship; may also be part of the problem, as well as the delays in shipping that is also going on.

Hoping more users report complaints received.

Same! I got 2 sales in past week, one after the other same situation, to top it off, the first one mailed and asked for decreased price for buying two items shipping to Florida, I told him just order and I'll issue $3 refund (because my shipping is free via media mail, which is adverage $3.33 - $3.86 a shipment), he mailed back and said "just throw in a free 7" EP or Cassette...which I did, I threw in a free 2 track Promo Pro Cassette I got bunch of from the label for upcoming release re-issue last week. He ordered and then I went to Excel to record the sale, came to the Payments tab and clicked the transaction to record the FVF's and was stunned to see I was charge a lmost a $1 more for 2 international fees + $0.30 norm Transaction fee...then it happened again next day with another buyer but only 1 item so one international fee + $0.30.

eBay figures we will not fight this, especially since we have no chance of calling and getting anything done with MP.

it's actually not a MP issue (this time), this will effect every seller in MP or not using the promoted listings US Campaign...MP has nothing to do with this, just coincidence we are in MP and experiencing it. The thing is, someone, somehow within ebay KNOWS already what is going on, but nothing has been done...the 3 different reps I spoke with had no idea WHY or WHAT to do about it.. because this isn't something WE can change, this is entirely controlled by ebay and how they promote listings. The only thing we can do is change the elected percentage rate we promote listings at, but that will not do anything if no one is seeing the listings - in other words... they aren't being promoted or at least they are not being promoted like they were since they started Promoted Listings. So...basically I had them submit a ticket for Tech Support to look into it and hopefully fix because there is nothing i or EB rep can do, no magic button they have to correct it.

I was talking about the international charges that are now being accessed in MP, even when is domestic sale, which were never charged for this client before I was forced into MP.
Not promotions, though I have known something was amiss when my sales fell off a cliff after 8/24.

I just had to speak up, I am in MP's and promote my listings my number are ALL UP** Listing Impressions UP 23.2%, Sales UP 75.6%. Maybe it the type of items your selling versus what I sell. So it's NOT affecting every seller. Have a good one**
