Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

Greetings,

I just noticed when I re-upped our monthly sale events that categories have drooped inventory. For example WW2 Books has 350 some in inventory but the sale event is only showing 30. I'm not at all sure why. Can someone help please??

Thanks

Re: Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

Impossible to help without seeing your sale event settings.

For example, are they set up with "rules" based on category or are they set up where you selected listings individually?

Are the items not included items you relisted / or new items? Or are they items that have been listed for a while?

If you're not very tech-savvy @artofwarnm , my suggestion is to end any old sale events. Start brand new ones from scratch. That way you'll be 100% sure of what you're including.

Re: Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

This is what shows up on my sale event tho the category has 354 items in inventory. Honestly I'm not sure how long ago this started, I just noticed it with today's update. I wonder if I should just begin a new campaign? Thanks for your patience with me!

Re: Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

That happened to me this morning too.  I got 60 items instead of 300+.   I was using the copy feature.   I edited it to end tomorrow and will try again from fresh.

Re: Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

Either it's a brand new sale that hasn't finished indexing yet, or you've copied an old sale too many times so there's corrupted data.

Suggestion is to wait 24 hours since you can't end a sale until it's been live for a min of 24 hours.

After a day, if the sale still shows only 31 items when we know that WWII books category has a lot more than 31 items, I suggest ending the sale and creating a brand new one from scratch.

Re: Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

In my case I think I deleted the original sale while the new sale was processing.

Well....I put up the new sale & can't delete the old! I'll let them simmer and see what the New Year brings!!

It has to run for 24 hours before you can end it.

Re: Sale Event, categories dropping inventory

When items are relisted during a sale event due to expiration of the original listing, the relisted listing is not included in the sale unless you edit the sale and add the new listing and its new listing number.
