Has anyone else been dealing with this nightmare?
We closed our business as the hurricane was approaching at the advicee of county officials in the state of emergency.. once the storm passed items were shipped as normal next business day. Noone is helping and I am getting nothing but broken english canned responses that refuse address the individual defects.. who can i talk to thats a real person??

Because you're unable to fill and ship orders. Time away isn't just for holidays - it's for emergencies, illnesses, etc.

I don't understand why sellers don't use the tools that Ebay provides, then expects Ebay to fix their accounts?
The only thing I can think of is with emergency closure and/or evacuation, using time-out wouldn't affect those sales already made where the seller couldn't pack them and get them to the post office. I've been through two hurricanes and things happen fast.
Yes, things happen fast, but how much warning do they give that a hurricane could be headed that way, a couple weeks?

If you had used Time Away, you wouldn't be here complaining because Ebay won't fix your account.
How much warning did you have that the hurricane might hit your area?

If someone was shipping something into the areas they could be affect just a well as someone in the affected area trying to ship something out.
The OP is located in Plant City, Florida, so the Hurricane may have affected them.

As I say, things happen fast. The time between a hurricane 'maybe' heading one's way and when it hits can be pretty short. I remember as a kid walking to school under a storm watch, and being sent home around noontime because it had veered so quickly that we were actually barely able to make it home because the winds were so high. Not a few hours later we were all bunkered in the house with the wind thundering around us.
ETA: In other words, 'could be' headed one's way, and actually directly headed one's way, are two different things. Still, I wouldn't hang off putting my stores on time-away - it would be the first thing I did before shutting down, evacuating, etc. But that wouldn't help sales already made. I've been through this.

I would request if you have nothing of value to add to the discussion please refrain from posting.
As stated..
County hurricane action started Monday morning (within 12hours so canceling auctions not an option), items ended Monday night, tuesday morning shutdowns were in effect..
Evacuations were in place until wednesday at 5, items were shipped thursday.
Is your suggestion that I use a time machine and use time away?

You could have still used the Time Away function. It is a flexible tool that is useful for many reasons to include what you were faced with.
Auction listings: When you pause item sales, buyers will still be able to see and buy your auction-style listings but they'll see a message at the top of the listing informing them that you're on time away. The estimated delivery date will also be updated in the Shipping and Delivery section.

This function would have given you a bit more comfort in knowing your customers and your account would be taken care of.

How exactly would time away help with auctions that were already closed? Are you suggestion any remote potential hurricane threat would warrant time away? Should i do time away for the entirity of the 6month hurricane season? And why would ebay bother wjth hurricane protection in the first place if thats the attitude?

Did you read about the policy? It tells you. I provided you the answer to this question in my previous post.

"Are you suggestion any remote potential hurricane threat would warrant time away?" I didn't say anything remotely like that. I'm not sure what your goal here is. Do you want to learn how to avoid this situation from happening again or just want to vent how it went this time? You have been supplied with the information to help you out of your current situation and how to prevent it from happening again. Now it is simply your choice as to what to do with that information. Learn from it or toss it out the window. That is your call.
"Should i do time away for the entirity of the 6month hurricane season?" Now you are just being ridiculous. Setting your Time Away setting takes a matter of moments / couple minutes, not hours or days.
Again, your choice. Learn about a tool that is available to you to avoid this situation from ever happening again or depend on Ebay announcing they will cover you. FYI, I'm not the one with an "attitude" here.
