SLOW SALES FEBRUARY 2022

Just kind of felt like venting a bit...
After a personal record breaking January, February is now dreadfully slow. Seems like its all come crashing down after the recent winter seller update. I've been listing relatively regularly all year, as well as ending and creating new listings for old stock (which I rarely did in the past) running sales and sending out offers. None of which seems to make any difference this month.
Its like my listings just aren't getting the views they once did. What I can't understand is why eBay would intentionally make it harder for our items to be found or purchased. Their entire company relies on us selling things, so suppressing or hiding listings just baffles me.
Its like they are only catering to major sellers or people that are promoting their listings now. Apparently the monthly store subscription, final value fees and additional $.30 per sale isn't enough for them.
Another month like this and I will make the switch to another platform. I probably should have already.

I AM AFRAID TO PURCHASE ANYTHING ON EBAY ANYMORE--REASON EBAY NO LONGER LISTENS TO YOU IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM ( image getting a empty package with nothing inside cost me almost 150.00) they asked that i file a police report and send them a copy---police laughed at  me--lost my money--never again

ebay will take every penny they can get from you---applies to buyers as well --that is why your not selling as much--you NEED GOOD BUYERS---Ebay is going down hill

I agree--ebay no longer treats its seller or buyer very well---you need buyers to have sellers.  I have been a buyer for 20 years and spent$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$--but no longer---customer service stinks---rude amd half the time I can not understand them-----call one night and they tell you one story and the next night something else--ask them to look at how many converstions you have had will the seller---they  have NO CLUE--I HAVE LOST ALOT OF MONEY FOR NOTHING--I NOW GO TO A STORE--PAY THE PRICE--AND KNOW WHAT I HAVE IN MY HAND IS REAL AND I CAN RETURN IT-  EMPTY PACAGE RECEIVED WITH NO PRODUCT INSIDE --WAIT UNTIL THIS HAPPENS --EBAY ASKS YOU TO FILE A POLICE REPORT---LOST ALMOST 150.00-this will wake you up right away---ruled for the seller----I am a senior and this was a BIG HIT FOR ME

I have to agree with you 100%. I was never a steady seller.  I sold maybe 10 items a month, at most. 

But since April 2021, after the new "payment management" rolled out, without any factual notice and I have yet to be paid for an item sold, and they still refuse to cancel the order and/or refund the buyer, I pulled out from selling here altogether. (**bleep** if I'm giving anyone premission to withdraw money from my bank account, indefinitely! Certainly, not crazy refunds R us @ eBay!)

This fall, I was exposed to my areas open flea markets. Discovering two very large, popular and regular scheduled venues only an hour or two drive away. 

In one and half days, I made more than I did in 3 months on ebay, after cost of gas, and generally the same amount of work and half the stress. 

Can't wait till season opens up again in the spring.

Till then, I'm getting some handcrafted inventory together, or learned. Maybe I can catch one of the many winter holiday festivals in my area this year. 

 I have some items that I wish I still had the eBay platform to sell them on. But as a matter of principal, it's not worth it. Nor worth the costs.
