Sellers BEWARE of a buyer stating that it wasn't the item he ordered. I went back to his order and it was exactly what he had ordered and the ad was very specific. eBay them notifies me that they are going to give him his money back... WTH is this? they can see the ad and verify the order. And what happens with said item that he was unhappy with? I went to his page and discovered he opened his account the very same day he bought the item. I am sure it is a scammer so he can get free merchandise and get his money back.he recently made a purchase from me and then 5 days after he received the item he filed a claim with ebay

In a he said, she said, dispute, Ebay will always side with the buyer. And if you didnt provide him with a return label and refund after return, he gets to keep the item, and you get a major defect.

@danpl_2197 er so he can get free merchandise and get his money back.
If you accept the return and pay return shipping, you wait until the item is returned to refund.
If you don't accept the return, Ebay could refund the buyer for you from your account and let them keep the item.

Hi @danpl_2197
eBay expects sellers to accept returns AND supply a prepaid shipping label whenever a buyer claims an item is 'not as described'. If you do that ... the buyer won't be refunded until you get the item back.
If you try to fight the return ... then you will discover all the penalties you'll receive after the buyer brings eBay into the case.
That said ... I need to tell you that YOU violated eBay's policies by leaving the feedback you did. The buyer will be able to get your comment removed ... and the buyer will keep the positive feedback. [And you will be penalized instead.]
It's a shame that the first feedback you left another person is one that isn't allowed. It makes you look worse than the buyer.

When a Buyer claims "item not as described", e-bay will allow the Buyer to return the item to the Seller for a full refund due to the MBG (money back guarantee) - Did you not accept the return when the Buyer filed? Looks like based on your post that e-Bay had to step in and refund the buyer?
Not certain on the "new buyer" aspect as we get quite a few newbies with no issues - but the buyer can return the item for any reason, really. And on your dime if they claim Item Not as Described.
Cannot tell from your post - did you get your item back? Better sales in the future. Sorry this happened.

There was no communication from the buyer stating anything. The only notification I received was from eBay
saying they will refund the money to him. Nothing was said about the item being returned to me or anything and it is extremely frustrating that you can't speak to anyone to discuss the issue or any other concerns. A message stating that the dispute was found to be in the buyers favor is not really any sort of explanation. If the post was reviewed then there would be no in favor of the buyer at all. He received exactly what he purchased.
