Running a sale

I'm trying to run a sale on ebay but whenever I get to the page it doesn't give me any options on what type of sale I want to run. It has a draft of a sale that I made by mistake days ago and I can't get rid of this and start over.  How do I delete this draft so I can start over with a new sale??

I see that EBAY changed the format for creating a sale (made it more confusing).  You should be able to create a new sale without deleting the old draft. 

 To create a new sale:

Clicking MARKETING, SUMMARY (go to bottom of page and click CREATE SALE EVENT) on right side of page click on ADD (select items or categories you want to put on sale) and then LAUNCH YOUR SALE.

Ok I found what you are talking about but it's still stuck on the old draft that I don't want and can't delete. Very odd

On Seller Hub, go to Marketing > Discounts

On the top right of the page click the blue Create Discount button

If you need further help from that point let us know.

If you want to delete the "mistake" draft, you'll see it on that page. Click the 3 dots to the left for the menu with a delete option.

Thanks but creating a sale isn't the problem yet, trying to end a sale i don't want is the problem but someone said I have to wait 24 hrs.  Then when I g

o to create a new sale It takes me directly to a draft where I had a mock sale set up and it wants me to finish and launch, I can't get rid of it and get back to the beginning of starting a sale page. How do I get rid of this draft or page? No one seems to have an answer

I got it but it won't delete. It doesn't even give me an option to delete. Someone said it has to run 24 hrs at least beforei can delete.  I hope this is the case.

If it's a live sale it has to remain active for a minimum of 24 hours before you can delete it.

But you said this is just a draft. Draft you can delete immediately.

You would think so but I cannot delete this draft sale, there isn't even an option to delete it, that's the problem  there are no 3 little dots to click to edit , delete,  or nothing. Wish I could send a Pic to show what I mean.

You can post a photo. Do you know how to take a screenshot? If not, go to your preferred search engine and type in how to take a screenshot with [your operating system].

Then come back here, click that little camera icon above the reply box, and add the image.

That screen you are showing is of the current sales and drafts and after 24 hrs I can delete those, I get that. My issue is when I go to create a sale It no longer takes me to the first screen to pick and start type of sale you want. Mine keeps showing a grenade one still that I can't get rid of unless I actually launch it which I don't want to. I want to start from scratch or did ebay change the format and screen look when starting a sale now? I still can't send the screenshot I took unfortunately.  This isn't easy from a mobile phone.

Now it says the screen shot is took isn't supported by one of the image types..unbelievable

As I said above, if its a "draft" you can delete it immediately. You do not have to wait 24 hours. Have you done that yet because it seems your problem is with a current draft, not a current live sale.

Did you follow my instructions from my first post above? Go here:

Top right corner click the big blue button "create discount" then select the type of discount.

It should start a brand new discount every time you do that.

Are you viewing classic web or mobile web on your phone's browser? Try using private browsing mode, then going to that link - private mode can make it easier to stay on the classic site. Do you have a tablet or a laptop to use if your phone's screen is hard for you to navigate?

I'm using my desktop to try to create a new sale but the old draft always pops up and no, there is no option or way to delete it. That's the problem unless this is the new ebay format and new screen but it already has a sale draft prefilled. I want to start from scratch but cannot. No matter what I do, there is NO option to delete it..if I want to run a sale I have to start from this draft now and change everything to the way I want it and then launch. This isn't good. Is this something new ebay has started maybe? Before i click on create new sale and it takes me to very beginning where I can choose type of sale, percentage off, dates, etc.
