Not sure if it is funny or not but i am seeing trends.....

Walmart now doing commercials to be like Amazon...Amazon doing commercials just like Walmart. The box arrives at the door all nice and neat, consistent with company logo etc....Fullfillment!

Ebay is now siding with buyers for returns....Yet why do they not follow the footsteps like Amazon when they want to be like Amazon?????

Amazon is banning buyers for returns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ebay has always sided with the buyer, this is not a new thing.  As long as a buyer files a SNAD, it is highly likely they will get to return for refund.  This has not changed.

Most of the stuff sold on Amazon is sold by Amazon.

None of the stuff sold on eBay is sold by eBay.

AZ bears the cost of those returned items.

EBay doesn't  have any costs from returned items.

Neither Amazon or Wal-mart have non-paying bidders! And Wal-mart will not pay your return shipping, and will not refund you for broken or switched merchandise... And none of them allow 60 days or more for returns - because they don't give away their merchandise. Ebay has no merchandise and easily gives away sellers' merchandise - simply because they can (it's actually called "theft" in real world, but not in eBay's world, unfortunately...)

That is an over-simplification of what Amazon is doing.  They are banning buyers that they have deemed have abused the return system, NOT all buyers that have done a return.

But you certainly have a point about those banned buyers might just come to Ebay.

Yes they say that they do.  But there is no evidence that they actually do anything and there is not set perimeters in the policies to give any kind of guideline that Ebay is suppose to go by for this.  At this point it is a top secret function of ebay and there are no numbers or verification that this actually happens on a consistent basis that I'm aware of.  I'd like to be wrong.

I'm one of those. I am having more returns  since Amazon automated returns. Amazon sends a mailing label to the customer and charges my account, even in cases of buyer remorse, not defective merchandise. However once the item is returned I can deduct that cost from the refund and charge a restocking fee which ebay is going to ban. I've had one neg over the restocking fee but Amazon removed it.

I only know this from a buyer's post who said that they were thrown into the Ebay High Risk Buyer's Program, for those with excessive no pays, bid retractions, cancellations, SNADS, returns, etc, and that it was very hard to get out of that as Ebay keeps you there "forever" until you learn good buying behavior.  Now I have since been told by another poster that what the buyer may have meant is that their buying limits and activities were restricted through buyer's limits, which makes sense.  I understand from the buyer's post, too, that he was limited to buying fixed price, immediate payment required listings.  So this is the evidence and I believed this buyer.

Since the Buying Board is much less frequented, that is the only post on this that I have ever seen.  It was this year, I believe.  But what number of any issue that would trigger such actions is unknown.
