Hey all,
We have the ability to change SNAD to remorse! Sorta. So I got invited into this pilot. I couldn't find any ebay pages about this, strictly thru email and a private discussion board. If you aren't familiar and want to read it http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/abn/y15/m11/i04/s02
Otherwise I'll give a basic rundown:
-When a buyer files or returns SNAD and you think it's remorse, you're able to remove funds from the refund amount (s/h cost, return s/h cost, restocking fee, other partials, etc) and submit that adjusted refund.
-You can explain to buyer how you came to that adjusted amount. If buyer disagrees, they can still escalate and ebay will decide given the circumstances.
-Overall seller performance status WILL NOT be negatively impacted by your participation in this pilot.
For those of you who are in this pilot, what do you think? One question though, so are we covered if a buyer returns a "brick" in this pilot? Up until now, all I keep hearing from agents is that "We don't involve ourselves with 'her said she said' issues where no one has proof." Which means they believe the buyer over the seller in these scenarios.

Just had my first one today. Buyers remorse case. I withheld the return shipping fees. Customer opened a case. eBay sided with him. I opened an appeal, ebay sided with him. It's more lip service from ebay.

In the pilot program, when the buyer receives their refund less shipping and then "asks ebay to step in" does that still earn the seller an unresolved case strike?
