Returning part of the payment when I realized the item was damaged

I sold an item without realizing it was damaged. I let the buyer know and offered to cancel the order. I also offered it at a discounted price. They still wanted it. It had already been paid for. Is there a way to just send  them some money back without cancelling the order?

Go to ORDERS, ALL ORDER (select SEND REFUND).   You can send partial refund.

Yes, in the same drop down menu where you would find cancel order scroll a little further down to find send refund.
