I sold a ring, it got delivered and buyer claimed to have never received it. They opened a case and it was decided in my favor- I didn’t have to refund the buyer.
now 30 plus days later I get a long winded note about how I am gauging them and they are pursuing the refund via their credit card company.
i didn’t answer and reported the buyer.
I find it terrible.
I have since started insurances on my bigger priced items.
any advice?
thanks!

Yes!
I have tried to make sure a head of time to mail appropriately- varies depending on situation. Especially the eBay customer that get frequent delivery - always thought they are at risk for mail malfunction, theft, lost.
thanks.

In today's covid world be prepared for those "signature required" to not always be honored. I had a package dumped on my porch that should have required a signature. I was even home. No knock, no nothing. When I checked the tracking, it said "carrier signed". I've read about quite a few similar situations lately.

item was less than $100, according to a post by the OP.....so signature required doesn't apply in this case.
Procedure, if chargeback "wins" for the buyer,........ebay will require you to refund and then tell you to appeal in which case they will pay you back under the seller protection.........assuming buyer claims non receipt.
