Anyone else getting hit with restrictions that don't seem correct? I just got hit with selling a prescription strength item that is available any were over the counter. There are 16 other sellers selling the item so I'm pretty upset. I called eBay just get the run around. I emailed vero and got no response. Doesn't seem right. Anyone I can contact to look at this? I worked hard to get ready for this holiday season and now I'm not active

What were you selling? How long listed before being pulled? Had you had any successful sales of that product to date?
Edit to add: just wondering if one of the other 16 sellers could have reported you. Hmmm...

Was the item VetOne - CrossBlock II Kills & Prevents Fleas on Cats & Kittens? Did you have another listing of it?
That item appears to require a prescription from a vet.

Remfresh sleep support. I listed it and bam I was restricted instantly. I do believe other sellers report us

I had them call me today on my recent take down as there are hundreds of that album up for sale. No one could really tell me "why" mine was removed, only that it was removed and they reminded me that my email states that as long as I do not relist it, all is well with my account.
Bottom line - if they take it down, do not relist it. It bites, it is not fair and I am still unhappy about it. But they took it down, so down it stays. I would suggest you choose to go the same route.

What exactly did the notice about the takedown say? You mentioned this was a Vero takedown. Was this removed as violating the prescription drug policy or something else like Vero?

Yes I hear you. But they shut my business down for 7 days! I have over 800 listings not being seen at the busiest time of the year. What makes me steam is no one can tell me why other sellers are good selling this item but I'm not.

Did you have the word prescription in the title?
Could have triggered a bot maybe?
Did eBay actually say it was a VERO take down?

Yes violating the prescription drug policy. But 15 other sellers have it listed.

Because other seller are currently getting away with something can't be used as a defense for one's actions. It doesn't work in a court of law or on eBay.

Not sure because my listing is now gone. But that's what I think as well. Simple fix correct? Not with eBay. I been selling here for 5 years. Top rated with 99.8 percent feedback. I can't get no where. I want a cooperate email because I'm ready to leave. This is the second time. I was selling a Phillips Wisp. Sold many in the past. All of a sudden prescription needed and lost my business for 3 days. I need to talk to someone that is in corporate that speaks English. All these customer service reps do is a read a manual. Don't listen. Vero has still not responded to my email. They wait until my week is up. I'm really upset

When you scan the UPC of an item it should say restricted then! Like Amazon does

Ebay has not been known for its consistency, or thoroughness, when upholding policies.
But there is more to the policy than just the banning of prescription drugs. There are also rules for listing OTC medicines. Is it possible the other sellers did not violate one of those rules, and you might have? Below is the policy for your perusal.
Very sorry this happened to you. Whatever you do, don’t relist it here. Suspensions are cumulative. If you get caught again, it will be a 30 day restriction. It is not worth the risk.

Of course, eBay is not Amazon so comparing its system to eBay's is like comparing apples to oranges. Of course, if you're selling any type of drug or medication you really need to know if it a controlled substance or not. I doubt the courts would accept an "I scanned the UPC and it didn't show up as being a controlled substance" as a valid defense.
