I was ill and doctors restricted me from excitement, so my adult son and daughter took away all electronics so unintentionally abandoned my account for about 3 months . Customers bought items that weren’t delivered so my account now is restricted.    Now I can physically and mentally able to conduct most tasks and also have so much good items ready to sell , how to reinstate my account???

With upwards of 180,000,000 members- they have to 'draw the line' and people Buying and Sellers NOT shipping-regardless of the reason.

There is no coming back from that if the site has determined you are a risk and stopped you from selling (after all, whatever happened could happen again and again, buyers will be screaming!).

Six complaints on your feedback. We can't see any Claims or Disputes.

At best you can contact customer service (NOT THE PHONES) and ask about reinstatement since you are restricted but not actually booted from the site.

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

In the meantime, you are allowed to buy, and this might be a point in your favour.

Look for household needs and sellers who leave feedback on shipment. No need to spend a lot of money.  Maybe soap, dishcloths, washing machine cleaner, vacuum bags?

Because you may relapse, although I certainly hope you are fully recovered, it would be useful to write up a description for your family of what to do if this emergency happens again.

It's not the abandoned account that is the problem, it's that you were unknowingly making sales, the kids were not shipping, and eBay was refunding your unhappy customers.

The kids are adults and need to add these tasks to their skill set if you plan to continue selling on eBay.

All of us, even those who are not Boomers like you and me, need to have a backup plan in case of illness, tornadoes, or abduction by aliens.

Besides the excellent advice that femmefan gave you, maybe you could also contact the buyers who gave you negatives, explaining to them what happened, and request feedback revisions from them as long as you make it right with them first, such as getting the items they bought shipped to them.  If that gets taken care of, it just might speed up getting your restrictions removed.  Good luck with your health and future eBay listings!

If Ebay had to refund those buyers, your selling days is probably over here.

Have a great day.

That should not have prevented you from telling your adult son and daughter to log into your account and end your listings.

When a seller fails to perform, it disappoints buyers and that degrades the reputation of the entire site and affects all sellers.

I suspect eBay does not have the resources or the desire to track down 'sick notes' from adults.

@femmefan1946 gives excellent pointers. As someone with Cushing's syndrome, I know exactly what it is like to have an emergency similar to yours.  I hope that you can get your account back in order and suggest that, if you do, that you teach your kids how to log onto your account and put your store on vacation mode should the need arise again. I have instructions on how to process orders all written down and have back up people to do them. It's always good to have a back up plan, regardless of which marketplace you sell on.

Good luck to you and good health!

This is a cautionary tale for ever one of us, have someone who can when a emergency hits at least put ebay on vacation and refund everything that has already sold
