READ FAST, THIS MAY NOT BE HERE LONG !
I learned a lot that explains most of what is going on at the site........
First off, eBay is dabbling in introducing AI to it's programming and algorithm. It is their hope that the systems will make decisions and changes on their own. It has been said that they may have lost control on the bit of AI they have introduced already.
Second, eBay is gearing themselves towards Millennials and Gen Z, and most likely will soon accept crypto- currencies as payment for goods. They are talking about Bitcoin for starters.
I learned that eBay is already accepting NFT's (Non-fungible Tokens), and has been for a while for those in the know. NFT's are controlled in the Ethereum block of crypto.
"Fungible" items are things that can be swapped item-for-item with the same value (like say a dollar bill).
"Non-Fungible" items each have a unique value and cannot be swapped item-for-item at the same value.
Of course, these NFT's are unique digital (non-tangible) units.
It's going to get much worse before it gets better, no one is expecting an uptick in the site until mid-late '23 or so.
Good Luck !

That is very true!
I also just wonder what is really taught in schools today. The earlier business / finance can be taught these days, the better. I don't think business class was even offered until I was in H.S. That is too late these days! With social media and all of the flooding of advertisements on the computer & cell phones, the young don't really understand.
The old saying that is still true today! Keeping up with the Joneses!

What happens to returns with the volatility of crypto? Foreign buyers are already sometimes hit by major depreciation of their original payment when currency fluctuates, imagine what could happen with crypto…
The only good news about crypto right now is Ethereum going to Proof of Stake so it'll be one less techbro's wet dream wrecking the environment and driving up energy costs.

Yes, I would like an explanation. I, for the life of me, can not understand what a non-fungible token is. Or how it relates to graphic art and money and is a commodity. It's like someone makes up a complicated formula, gives it a name(such as satoshi), and starts selling them to suckers on the internet for real money.

Not new news. Ebay themselves said they were aiming for high end buyers and sellers some time ago.

You can trade cash for crypto at our local Coinstar machines - for some reason the idea of trading in 25 years of hoarded pennies for crypto tickles me.
