Greetings and good day,
I hope everyone is fine and safe,
I am a new seller on ebay, I am trying to sell a couple of unneeded pc components that I bought a couple of months ago as I bought a better one,
The items are an X79 Gigabyte UD3 rev. 1.0 motherboard with Xeon E5-1660 v1 and 4x4GB DDR3 1866mhz Ballistix (I have 4 pieces of Tactical and 2 pieces of Elite, I listed 2 of both Tactical and Elite),
These items cost me almost 220$ including all the fees regarding the shipping and taxes, therefore I listed these for 250$ with free shipping however one month passed and no one is interested, after that I lowered the price to 200$ with 15$ shipping fees and still one week past and no one is interested even though it is better than other deals yet most of these deals were already sold and mine still not,
Is there something wrong with my listing or is it because I do not have zero feedback as a seller or something else?
Please, could someone help me with this matter as I am really in need of selling these items as soon as possible?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome!
To build up feedback, you can also purchase items on eBay to bolster that feedback score.
You are a new seller with a more expensive item and i see you have chosen No Returns. While this is certainly a valid choice, shoppers willing to take a chance with a new eBayer might feel more secure with someone who offers returns.
As the other posters said, your type font in your description is too small to read on my PC and my iPhone. (I use Verdana 14pt if you want something to compare yours with.)
Where is your item shipping from? If it is in your possession in Brunei Darussalam, then you must show the actual location. There is an important policy that punishes sellers for misrepresenting where the item resides. Some buyers in the US might pass your listing by, leery of purchasing an expensive component from an international seller with no feedback, but that is better than putting your selling privileges at risk.
Which leads me to your shipping and handling time. You have allowed yourself 5 days to ship, when most buyers want speedy transit. That can be a strong selling point, and conversely, a long handling time can be a turn-off.
Some of the terms in your description are unenforceable. Ebay allows buyers 30 days to open a Not As Described case, and your listing states they must contact you within 24 hours of receipt. PayPal allows 180 days for the same.
While some of these points may not seem that critical, taken as a whole they can influence shoppers for or against a listing. As a new seller, you will need to offer something very compelling to stand out.
Good luck to you and wish you much success here.

Many buyers do not like to purchase from zero or low feedback sellers. Find some small items at low cost to sell and get positive seller feedback. Then your items may be more acceptable.

First, if they can be bought online brand new for $220, why in the world would someone pay you $215 plus tax?
Second, when I search " GA-X79-UD3" I see no other sold listing for more than yours. In fact, I saw one that sold for $75. And I see only six sold listings oion the last three months, all at $169 or less.
IMHO the reason your item is not getting interest is because people on eBay are looking for bargains, not to buy at retail prices from strangers. Plus, isn't that motherboard from about 8-10 years ago?

@sal_saied ^^^ Here's the reason. Revisit your price. Good luck!

I've had listings in my store that take years to sell.
Also you might want to list the actual location as Brunei Darussalam and not New Castle, Delaware. There is a known International freight forwarder there that has been problematic.

It's important to understand that something "Used" is not worth the same as something "New". Would you pay the same or more for something Used as you would pay for something New?

@sal_saied
Checked your listings and the font is real small in your description.
I'm using a PC and can barley read it, I'd hate to try and read it on a phone.

this is very useful discussion

Just took a quick look at your listing
How on earth do you expect anyone to read your description ?
It is tiny
i would also advice building up a feedback file selling that are priced low and possibly sell fast
Good luck

I think so hopefully the OP agrees and takes action

We take a loss on some of our listings. Why? Because something is better than nothing. $5.00 is better than $0. After so long it has to go if I can't use it or admire it. And then some things are worth the wait. All the advise should be well taken as they are sincerely trying to help you. Gods Peace and Good Health, Andrew

Thank you very much for your kind reply,
I already fixed the font size for the description however it is really weird as I use the eBay application and it was showing it in a very good readable size, it seems that the website is different than the application,
I do live in Brunei however I bought these items from the US and the items still there, I bought them from the US as their are no markets for selling second hand items here in Brunei and the prices here for new items are really expensive compared to the US even if I buy the new ones from the US and ship it to here still it would be cheaper than buying from here,
I have relatives living in California for a decade and they help me to buy a like new X99 system for a very nice price and they advised me to resell the X79 items on eBay and they informed me to make the list clear especially when it comes to return the goods and there is a return however only in case of dead on arrival or not as described,
In order to prevent buyers who do overclocking without decent knowledge from wrecking the system and claiming that it is a dead on arrival, I made it only to report within 24 hour if it is a DOA, as for not as described case, I did my best to not let that happen by precisely described what the buyer is going to get,
And for the handling time, the 5 days is to give some room in case if something from nowhere happens especially in these days because of the covid-19 however I am going to decrease it now and make it within 3 days,
Regarding the zero feedback, here they advised to buy a couple of items to get 100% positive feedback however I believe this feedback is as a buyer and not as a seller, therefore I did not do that because it is a misleading act just like the monarchy system of Brunei which sucks the peopke blood and uses the religion as a cover in order to let the people accuse and blame the religion, which is here a mimic version of it and it is far from the true one, and not the MIB as it was mentioned on reddit, now the kdn (Brunei Intelligence) is going to knock my door and informing me that I am going to jail because of mentioning here what was stated on reddit, what a pitiful state this country is in, alas it is mostly because of the people here, they earned this and they deserve it,
I am really grateful for your kind assistance and for everyone who tried to assist in this matter as well,
I wish you all the best in the future and to live healthy, happy and peaceful life,
Please stay safe and healthy,
Best Regards.

Thank you very much for your kind reply,
You mean the Fishisfast company, can you share your thoughts about them?

There have been problems shipping from Delaware forwarding businesses to Eastern European Countries. Not sure which service, may be more than one. Have never heard of problems in the reverse, being imported through them.
