I won an auction and paid for it right away (Thank God, I have a bunch of money ), but the seller left me a positive with negative comments within a couple of minutes of my payment, I knew that because they emailed me and apologized for the error and stated they will call ebay to have it removed.
The next day, I received another email from seller stating that ebay would not remove, they apologized again and said I could leave them a negative if I wanted. lol
Anyway, I tried to have it removed myself, I went to "Change or remove feedback", I selected the item in question and submitted, system said the comments would be removed in 24 hours but the positive will stay.
hmmm, it's been 72 hours
So, if an ebay CSR promises you something and it doesn't happen, it's not the Rep, it's ebay system and the little Genie inside.

Ebay will always remove negative comments in a positive format that a seller has posted for a buyer. Always.
A buyer can't just change or remove feedback that someone else posted for them. The seller can send a feedback revision request, but that is just to revise feedback the buyer has left for the seller.
Seller would get a violation if they called ebay and asked them to remove the negative comment in a positive format that they posted for you.
You can call CS, point out the negative comment that is in a positive format, tell them you are the buyer and you know that buyers are not supposed to receive negative comments, and they will remove it for you and give the seller a violation and possibly a message informing them of the policy.

Leaving a buyer a backhanded negative is against ebay rules. I read yours, and it would definitely qualify for removal.
One would have thought CS would have removed it with one call.
Don't they even follow their own guidelines,

This is pretty much the theme of the day week year decade, at eBay.

Call Ebay and get that feedback removed. While you're at it, point out the other false positives they have left for buyers. It is a selling violation and seller should not be doing it. That is not a seller I would EVER buy from again.
