Hello,
I understand ebay recently passed policy to prevent price gouging, etc on certain items. Mine was bit different from the category, but maybe it was the way I put on the title, but other sellers are still selling them (their item title is different).
Their price is a lot lower, well in fact, they sell smaller volume so shipping charge is much cheaper, and they are still selling it. (this is something I should do)
I got a message it says I am not allowed to re-list item, but it just seems like automatic messages. If the issue was only the price, can I re-list by lowering the price or is it a risk?
I believe the price I put was fair and reasonable as there are cost of items, times and labor, as well as handling charges such as boxes, and high shipping charge. If I lower it too much I make less than $5 per item, which is totally waste of time and money.

not the banned item. I know those are like mask, sanitizer, etc. This item is different. Well I think somebody reported it with price gauging. I had 1 per package, 4 per package in the option.
The shipping charge is calculated one (buyer pays), and for some reason even for 1 per package, the shipping charge for 1 per package shows same as 4 per package, although I can fix that when I actually ship. I think that's where the buyer reported simply seeing the shipping charge.
I mean why would I even use big package for only 1 item, that's also waste of money for me. It would cost around $3 for small item.
4 per package uses parcel service so it cost higher than $8, and can go all the way up to $11 + if I ship to New York from Cali.
I believe I wasnt reported if I was able to fix this in the first place, but it doesn't seem like there was the way.

If you received an email saying don't relist, I wouldn't relist. It doesn't matter if other sellers weren't caught yet. I wouldn't risk my entire account. I don't know your exact item, but I wouldn't want to make money off of items that had to be banned due to price gouging.

Absolutely not, you are on Ebays radar now.

No, the policy completely prohibits the sale of certain items regardless of item price or shipping cost, and regardless of what the seller says in the listing title and description. If you have been told not to relist the item, then that means you should not relist the item, period, regardless of price.
That's about all the help we can offer if you don't explain what the item was.

You haven't revealed what the item is; it may be banned and you aren't aware it is. The email should give details as to why it is was removed.
My advice is still the same - I wouldn't relist if I got an email saying not to.

You were told explicitly by eBay not to relist the item.
But rather than follow eBay's request, you think you can outsmart eBay by simply changing the price.
I hope you've enjoyed your time as a seller; I suspect it will be ending soon.

What's the big secret? Tell us what the item is.

Don't relist it at any price.

lol only on eBay does a price gouging criminal seek advice on how to break the law a different way. Classy.

Oh, not only on eBay.
Check out Quora, where people ask the hive mind how to do practically anything.
There are some very smart people posting there, and some really really dumb ones asking questions.
